Isanami, a young priestess of Izumo, is forced to watch as a group of evil ninja burn her temple to the ground and slaughter the people within, leaving her no choice but to flee into the forest to escape the same fate. By chance, she stumbles upon Saizou Kirigakure, a masterless ninja from the Iga school. The two travel to Ueda Castle to ask Yukimura Sanada for help. Isanami's possession of a strange and devastating power is revealed, and Sanada readily agrees to help her, gathering ten brave warriors to Isanami's side. Thus begins Brave 10, a story set in the Warring States period. It follows Saizou and Isanami's journey throughout the war-laden lands in search of brave warriors to serve under Yukimura's banner, each possessing powerful skills of their own. They'll have to travel far and wide, all while trying to fend off those who would chase after the dark power that she possesses to make it their own.

I haven't written all that many reviews before, so I will make this short and simple. Feudal Japan, assassins and ninja's all over the place, nothing groundbreaking there. Ninja meets random girl, girl ask for protection. They meet other assassins and ninja's along the way, things happening, people fight(obviously). The story itself seemed to have some potential throughout the first episode at least, but then I just felt like everything was going downhill. Personally, I don't feel like the creators put much work into the story at all, as everything feels like something they had to rush through in order to make it into the 12 episodes nowavailable. Art: It's a style I don't really mind, it's smooth and well made. Sound: same. As long as you find a decent version either online or through fansubs, the audio is quite good. Characters: now, I just wanna say that random is random. The main leads had something to offer, or at least I felt like they had at first. If you are a fan of a group of "originals" gathering, each who feel like they almost radiate stupidity, then this is most likely something you would enjoy. Enjoyment: I finished this series in 2 days, just so I could be done with it. I don't like skipping a series unless it is really, really bad, and this wasn't the worst I've seen. The plot had potential, the characters looked interesting, and every episode keeps you on a cliffhanger until the next episode, making you wanna see what happens next. Even so, the whole concept is something we've all seen so many times before. Hidden powers, betrayal, and OP villains, you've all been there. Overall: I found it to be a "ok" show. There was nothing extraordinary about it which made it stand out. I do hope for a 2nd season however, in hope for some character development etc.

I almost skipped watching this anime after looking at the low score and the critical reviews... Though, I choose to watch it and managed to complete this anime within a day. Well, I enjoyyyyyy Brave 10 so much! The plot is simple but decent and fun 😁... Naruto fans might like this... there are ninja arts and so on... Every character is unique... they have their own power element... This anime has lots of decent fighting scenes too.. Oh yeah... I think the main lead, Saizou, is a lot like general Hak in Akatsuki no Yona... Basically, I love this anime because of the simple yet funplot... furthermore, the characters are so lively... You will not get bored watching Brave 10... unless you love something hardcore like Sengoku Basara which had lots of serious fighting scenes and less weak character like Isanami (heroin in Brave 10).

Well, at first sorry about my English and if there are any mistakes. Brave 10 is a ninja shounen anime about Sanada Yukimura and his ten heroes. I started to watch it becouse I like shounen, but I had not any big expectatives about it. When I watch the firsts episodies, I thought: -This is a fucking bishounen anime, man. -The story is pretty bad... -Why Isanami is so stupid? Etc. But I didn't drop it. Why? Well, I say to you: this anime is bad. But it's not boring. There are some bad animes that when you are watching and episode you are praying for the end. Not in Brave 10.That's a good point. Story: 4 The plot is simple and the development is very bad. All the anime Saizou is kicking asses with Isanami screaming "HELP ME SAIZOU!" and criying very loudly... While this they meet new characters that will be heroes too. That' s all. Art: 8 The animation is good, so the fighting scenes are decent. The style is good too, but it doesn' t feel like a shounen anime (is more a choose-your-bishie style xD). Sound: 7 The OST is good. It isn't a OST that I will listen in my MP4, but it is good to ambientation. The opening is fucking catching (xD). One of the better points of this anime is the seiyuus. There are a lot a famous seiyuus in this anime (Ono Daisuke, Kamiya Hiroshi, etc.) so if you want to listen your favourites seiyuus this anime is a mine. Character: 4 There are too many character for 12 episodies, and the most have no deep or development. I like Sanada Yukimura and Nezu Jinpachi, but there are very bad characters. For example, Isanami is the typical Mary Sue. I prefer to not talk about Kamanosuke. The only character that has a personality development is Saizou, but it' s a veeery typical development. Enjoyment: 7 As I' ve said, the enjoyment is good. I prefer the bad, simple animes that are not boring than bad, strange and stupid animes that pretend to be "deep" and they are only boring. Brave 10 is not a masterpiece, but at least is fun to see. Overall: 5 Brave 10 is a 4 anime, but I give it a 5 for the enjoyment. So, I don' t recomend this to you if you aren' t: -A fangirl. -A shounen/ninja anime super lover.

Obviously I loved the feudal Japan background. The fights are not stretched forever, usually 1 or 2 episodes max. These are necessary to advance the story. The plot is fairly predictable and shallow: faction conspiracies, good vs evil, resolving matters by fighting your way through, brotherhood, etc. The first episode is actually one of my favorite and I do believe the story should have followed a bit more its spirit. For instance, Saizou's skills and unwillingful attitude were worthwhile and promising but the feeling fades away as the story goes on and he gradually becomes next to useless. Basically, he's super strong against hiscomrades before they join in the Braves and also against the general cannon fodder type ninjas but that's another story with the enemy main characters. It's a pain when you see a main character show off so much for lesser results. I also understand that they needed to make time to introduce the other characters since the story goal was to revolve around 10 braves fighting together. They should have appeared way faster. For example, Jinpachi Nezu appears at episode 8 or 9 I believe.. wait! what? But there is only 4 episodes left! Story: 6 - Fair : it's pretty much what you expect from a ninja combat based anime. As described above, nothing more or less. The ending comes way too abruptly in my opinion. Its has if they wanted to get it done and go onto the next project. Art: 8 - Very Good: I liked the style, nothing epic. Enough said. Sound: 7 - Good: I enjoyed the opening, mostly skipped the ending. The overall BGM during specific events and encounters were adequate and matched the anime theme. Characters: 5 - Mediocre: I was expecting more, sadly didn't get it. The character development is typical and very basic. You will find some flashbacks about Saizou, Isanami, Anastasia, Miyoshiseikei to add extra understanding of the storyline. Enjoyment: 7 - Good: Even if the story and characters weren't flawless, I had a good time watching it. Overall: 7 - Good: It's definitely an anime to watch if you like combat-oriented storylines and a nice addition to the ninja theme. It's nothing epic but definitely entertaining. I would definitely watch it again if I eventually get bored and don't have anything better to do. Extra comments: I would have enjoyed seeing a serie of 25-26 episodes out of it. Simply to extend the story and introduce deeper content, elaborate on characters, get Saizou to finally kick those bad guys' ass properly, see Isanami get abusively destructive with her power and also to get a decent fight done between Kamanosuke the psychotic warmonger and Saizou. It would have contributed greatly to a longer and better ending.

Saizo is an assassin who runs into a young girl by the name of Isanami. Her bubbly personality along with her cute charm annoys him simply because he's always been under the impression protecting someone will weaken his fighting ability. She also annoys him by doing things like crawling in bed with him and tripping over things. This honestly would be considered an endearing part to Isanami's character if she were five to six years of age, but instead it becomes part of the annoyance that occurs to the watcher of this Anime because Isanami is actually a lot older then this, old enough tobe in a romantic relationship with most of the male characters of Brave 10. On top of this Isanami is a Mary Sue. The easiest traits that can be found are the fact she has godlike powers and the fact everybody likes her and wants her including the enemies. On top of the fact she can't get on anyone's bad side, she also has no fatal flaws. She is shown to be clumsy, but that only crops up when it can land her in the guys arms. The Anime talks about how she's always causing trouble but in reality she isn't causing the trouble because of her actions, the trouble occurs because everybody wants her. She also angst horribly over how she is weak, but it is revealed early on in the series that she has the strongest power of anybody. Might I add the fact she is supposed to be naive about the world, but it comes across more along the lines of her being mentally handicapped. I doubt that is what the creator of her character intended. One of the reasons I stuck with the Anime is because despite the fact Isanami is so obnoxious most of the good guys from Brave 10 are actually interesting characters. The exception to the rule is the wind user. Despite the fact he is obnoxious, he at least isn't a Gary Stu. Despite the fact the other characters are interesting, their characterization and character development tends to fall apart when Isanami is around. Which adds to another Mary Sue trait about her, the fact none of the main good guys don' always act like themselves around her. Moving onto the art work, I have to say the art work in Brave 10 is horrible. The character designs are clumsy and chunky in places most of the characters shouldn't be chunky. The movement of the characters lacks any dynamic and is stiff. As for the elemental powers that the braves use, they don't really mimic well the traits that go with their elements and they look unrealistic. This I think extends to the bad buys. Some people might say right about here, but the art work is beautifully designed and the costumes are elaborate. Unfortunately, about half way through the show, I realized that the reason all the outfits were intricately designed is to actually hide the flaws in the character design. And might I add that some of the flaws are glaring. I remember one scene where Benmaru is a head taller then he should be. The sound is also something that is very beautiful. However, the music doesn't match the storyline of the Anime at all, which ruins the wonderful opening and closing scenes. Actually, these scenes also have the best animation. The sad thing about Brave 10 was I had high expectations of the show and expected to enjoy a nice historical fantasy. Instead I ended up with a bunch of pretty boy wish fulfillment and the reasons I enjoyed the Anime wasn't because it was amazing. It was because it was so badly done, it was laughable.
