Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love Legend Star

Y'all can shade me all you want for my rating of this season, I don't care. This season took so many strides from the previous seasons that I felt like I needed to give it a little extra love. So, let's start with the art and sound. As far as the art goes, the only complaint I have is the CGI dancing. It's much better this season than last, but it's still really strange since the rest of the anime isn't in CGI. Other than that, the art is stunning. There were a few scenes throughout the season that took my breath away. The sound,while not as strong as the first season's, was actually pretty good. The boys have to do duet songs with HEAVENS this season, and all of them were very well composed for the characters that were singing them. More on that later. The characters and story I'm going to talk about together because they're the main two aspects of this anime that really improved with this season. My main complaint last season was that the boys didn't get focused on enough. I said that I wanted to see this season give us more on the boys' backgrounds so that way they'd develop more as characters and not just as idols. I got my wish. Not every one of the boys got an in depth episode, but the majority of them did get down and dirty with the fears that each of them has. There was one character specifically that had an AMAZING arc. It developed his character and it strengthened the bonds between the members of STARISH, which was something else I wanted from last season. Somehow, even though these boys weren't around each other for a lot of this season, they managed to develop deeper friendships with one another outside of music. That kind of covered what I liked about the story as well, but I'd also like to say that this season's deviation from the excessive reverse harem that it was was a really good decision. The way the boys interacted with Nanami was actually normal for the most part, which kept me from cringing at every possible turn. Also, as far as the idol side of the story goes, this season also dug into the conflicts that arise when singing in a group, and it was all handled very well. All in all, this season made a lot more sense, it wasn't excessively corny, and it actually turned out to be pretty heartwarming and exciting. These characters will always be fun to watch, but I'm glad this season gave me a reason to be intrigued. It's kind of asinine to say that this season makes up for the faults of the first few seasons, but honestly, if you've enjoyed watching it thus far, this season will feel like magic to you. I'm really looking forward to where the story goes.

I did enjoy the anime, but after the second season it became a bit boring. There is not really a plot after the second season, as you know that all of the main characters are going to fall in love with the main protagonist, every single one of them. I mean the main group thats fine, but having Quartet Night and HE★VENS also wanting her, gets a bit boring and just leaves you hoping that it will actually end soon, or progresses with a plot. I liked the art style of the anime and manga, its definitely one of my favorites. I thought that themusic from anime was amazing. I enjoy all of the opening soundtracks and most of the character songs. They are well thought out and appeal to a wide audience. Its a shame that most of the songs from season one have been taken off from youtube. The characters are good but in this season, HE★VENS do copy ST☆RISH's characters a bit. for example; Nagi and Natsuki. They both have the cute and adorable personality, whilst one is rude and one has a split personality, which is also rude. Do you see where im coming from? But apart from the clashing of the personalitys, the characters have a really good back story. Overall, i actually watch the anime for the music, tbh. The storyline does both me a little, but i put that behind me when new music is shown.

Story: As the fourth season of the anime, this season continues where it left off in season 3 and focuses more on the background story of each STARISH members as well as their interaction with HEAVENS. In season 3, we see STARISH cooperated with QUARTET NIGHT to make music while here, we will see STARISH cooperating with HEAVENS to make music as well. The concept might not be totally new but it's still entertaining and enjoyable. While many people were disappointed about the minimal romance between Haruka Nanami and STARISH as compared to the previous seasons, I still enjoyed the show greatly and think that it isactually a good switch of focus in the plot so that the audience will not be overwhelmed by the romance between Haruka and her harem. (like 7 or 18 people if you include HEAVENS and QUARTET NIGHT) Rest assure, there are still cute interactions between her and the boys, and her existence is still greatly relevant to the whole plot. Art + Music: Uta no Prince-sama has never once let me down in their art and music. I have seen a great improvement in animation and the effort in trying to bring in 3D animation in the part where the groups danced on the stage. Their music, including the opening, is lovely as always. Whether it's QUARTET NIGHT or HEAVENS, their music has also gotten more exciting and amazing. I especially love STARISHs new song that they used to compete in the competition. While it sounds fresh to the ears, it also gives off the nostalgic vibe that fans and viewers can relate to from the theme songs that STARISH sang in the previous seasons. (It actually gives me chills 'cause it's really good). Overall: I do not think this season will disappoint any uta no prince-sama fan, especially if you are looking forward to more pleasant melodies to heal your heart or more character's development and background story. So give it a shot, sit back and enjoy the show till the end. ^^

To me, this season made up so much for the disappointing third one. There is great character development that is quite nicely balanced considering they were featuring 14 different members from 2 groups. The storyline was pretty smooth and many of the characters changed and improved as the anime went on. I'm still salty about how they changed the animation style of the way the characters performed live. In comparison, season 1 and season 2's live performances had beautiful animation but season 3 and 4's look very flat and stiff. The art, aside from the live performances, was still kept the same and beautiful, thankgoodness for that. At the end of the day, I think they ended the anime pretty nicely.
