So, I'm guessing what this episode is is a section of the manga that was more fleshed out than what was shown in the series. In other words, this is an episode that they couldn't fit in the main lineup. If you've seen the second season of Haikyuu!!, then you'll have seen certain parts of this episode already. All this episode does is fill in the blanks. I don't think it's an absolutely essential OVA to watch, but I do think that it provides a little something more to the characters. Tanaka is the first example that comes to mind because you'll see him ina more serious light with this episode than what you'd normally see. You'll also hear him gives some honest opinions on the first years, which is rare. Tsukishima is the second example I have because you'll learn how he deals with his fellow first years and how much the freak duo really means to him as a member of the Karasuno volleyball team. In other words, there is actually character discoveries in this episode, which is pretty cool for an OVA. Beyond that, you're just gonna get a funny episode of Haikyuu!! where you get to chill out with the characters without them being on the volleyball court. It's a nice extension to the bit of this episode that we see in the main anime, so if you really like the anime, definitely watch this.

Haikyuu! Vs failing exams.Hinata and kageyama passed some of their exams except one. They have to take make-up exams.Atleast scoring 80 plus. All his team members cheer them and help them to study hard. This episode basically from manga.I really enjoyed it.Tsukiyama makes fun of them.Saying they are monkeys can't score in English language. Overall this episode I scored 8 points out of 10.The first ova is Lev appears. And this ova is falling marks. Hinata and kageyama succeeded to scor higher than 80 and reached falcon evening. Nekoma and other schools having pratice matches... This episode is hilarious. If made me laugh too..

Haikyuu! Season 1 OVA Review By: Haruichi Furudate July 7, 2019 There are two OVA's in this season. The first one is where a new character has been introduced. In this series, there's only two paths that they can choose from. It is to improve all members of the team or to add new member who have the foundation need and can add to the level of the team itself. And this OVA shows that they pick the first one. This character just need polishment and practice to improve. In the future, how he play will be a sight to see. The second OVA is more on afun part. Volleyball is just an extra curricular activity. The main part is still studying and what mostly pains every characters in a story. It show how they struggle to pass all of the exams just to practice and focus more on volleyball. It's really just a funny and laughable OVA.

Basically you should watch this OVA after seeing episode 4 in season 2. This was a fun little time with Hinata and Kageyama trying to get a good grades on their tests while Ryu wants to convince his sister to drive them. It expands on the beginning of one of the episodes in season 2, and earns it with the wig sequel with the principal and Tsukishima's backhanded motivation that works the best when it comes to results. It doesn't hit as well as the slapstick comedy when they learned they had to get good grades, but more time with Saeko is good to me.Also putting Yamaguchi and Yachi together as teachers and graders to the dynamic duo was a subtly good addition given that Yamaguchi likes her.

This one is just so much fun to watch and fills in a gap in the story nicely. It's good to see how Hinata and Kageyama tackled their studies after failing an exam each, and how their teammates rallied around them. The humor in this one was on point, particularly with the principal, who plays a role both in ensuring that these characters have to succeed and in urging them to do so, albeit without their knowledge. It's also nice to see their teammates really step up, some by encouraging them, some by needling them, and one by ensuring that they can get their justreward should they succeed. It's sometimes nice to get a bit of SoL out of this anime, and this is an example of some of the best the series has done so far.
