One of the most underrated anime in my opinion. You would think "oh it's all-girls...it's probably some cute moe stuff then." I love moe stuff don't get me wrong, but this is more than just your cute girls doing cute stuff, more like cute girls doing badass stuff! Yes there is still the cutesy stuff and that is part of the charm, but I will say it one more time, it is way more than that. The story is great as the 1st season, though I would love more character development for other characters and not just Captain and Vice-Captain. The sound and Art are pretty on pointespecially since this anime has a lot of warships the details are quite impressive. Overall, this movie is great and with more characters introduced albeit very little information about them gives me hope for the 2nd season. The only thing I would say I didn't like much about the movie is that it has so much more potential and honestly, could be a series. Again hoping this is like a teaser for a 2nd season. If you want to watch cute girls doing cute AND BADASS stuff, then click that play and watch HAIFURI! (definitely watch the 1st season though for more depth)

High School Fleet Movie (2020) Well, hopefully, we can all agree it is great when a group of girls all get together and say 'yay'. As far as this movie goes it is an excellent addition to the series previously with the recognisable characters and antics from before. One thing that is done really well as always is the accuracy of the ships they have modelled in regards to real-world counterparts. Also, the world setting makes a lot of sense and so does the inclusion of not just the girls in these situations. It is very easy for shows to go too far on fan serviceand forget that guys can help too. With this, we go from a festival of schools competing together all the way to let's save the world type of story. The transition is done very smoothly but if you haven't seen anything else from the series previously you may think it is rushed when it isn't. The art of the show is a great standard, especially with the ships. The girl's models are all very modest and nicely done. Combat is also a very high mark for this. The girl's expressions are done so well, anything from disgust to worry and shock is handled well. The sound is great, combat has great SFX suiting to the ships and the general OST and such is perfectly suited. Characters don't really develop greatly but that is because everyone is already very well established from the previous season and OVA. You do get some new faces and also some expansion of older ones. Rin Shiretoko the girl who takes the helm for example is established as a worrywart but that plays well nicely for her character. As far as enjoyment goes the film is absolutely solid. I would say the end just sort of ended very quickly and there are some scenes of stupid enemies who cannot hit anything along with superhuman girls and jetskis that have more firepower than weapons from a battleship but for the most part, it is a solid 9/10. It isn't a 10/10 like the others because the development was so minimal compared to the previous shows and that also what was mentioned before. 9/10.

TOP 10 anime betrayals (in a way). High School Fleet (Movie) is a sequel to the High School Fleet anime. Like in the anime series, a lot of maritime jargon is used in the movie. Yet being unknowledgeable to maritime jargon, you'll enjoy this. WHY WATCH THIS: Recommending this movie if you are after on the fighting scenes with strong-minded and kawaii girls as the characters, a mix of drama in respect to friendship, a fighting scenes of cruiser and battleship, the sound of artillery (highly recommended LOL) and sound of waves caused by the ships, and how do battles occur in ocean bodies. WHYN'T WATCH THIS: Ifyou like a story focused one like Kimi no Nawa, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Movie: Hoshi wo Yobu Shoujo then this movie isn't worth watching. This movie packs a punch of fighting scenes with just a touch of drama.

I'm a fan of the TV series, but this movie really let me down. Story: 5/10 The script of the TV series impressed me very much, the plot is very simple but creates drama, knows how to portray the story and the development of the characters. However, the plot of the movie is really bad, it both has no connection to the TV series, and surprised the fans because everything suddenly started without warning. The first part, the movie introduces a lot of new ships and new characters, besides there is a competition between other schools that makes me quite expect a fierce competition. But everything suddenly ended becausean incident suddenly appeared from nowhere. The villains suddenly appear from nowhere too and with no clear purpose and plan, leaving fans really confused. And then the main characters handle everything too easily, without any drama and surprises. Art: 9/10 Inherited from the TV series, the old and new characters are all very cute (Except Su) and the new ships are also epic. The battle scene from the ships didn't disappoint either, though it wasn't much. Sound: 8/10 There's not much to say. But the sound from the battle scenes and the music are pretty good. Character: 6/10 I love all the members of the Harekaze ship, but the movie focuses mainly on Mike and Shiro. The drama between them is also quite good, but nothing has a climax and a cliché ending. The new characters appearing on the new ships are all very cute, but they are too faint, have almost no acting space and do not show any abilities. The new character that appears a lot in the movie, Su is really boring. We can replace her with a new character or leave her without much impact on the plot. Her purpose in coming to Yokosuka, her reasons for acting or her role can all be removed without affecting the plot of the movie. Her connection with Mike and Shiro was also too superficial, there was nothing deep enough for them to take care of her like that. Another character is Musashi's captain, Moka. I know she is an excellent student, in the TV series she did not have much time to show her ability. But her power shown in this movie is too fantasy, making her look like the strongest of among all characters. Enjoyment: 7/10 The first part of the movie was actually quite interesting until Su showed up. The members of Harekaze are all very cute and funny. The battleships are also very beautiful and the battle scenes are very eye-catching. So if you love Haifuri and want to see the members of the Harekaze ship again, the movie isn't too bad. Overall: 7/10 Although the script is bad and the new characters are not developed well, but as I said, if you love Haifuri and the members of Harekaze, you can still enjoy this movie. I really love Haifuri's return, so I quite enjoyed this movie (at least at the beginning of the movie and the battleship firing scenes).

It is recommended to watch the 2 OVA episodes first. There is not much change in the content of the story. In this movie they spend longer on land because there is a festival at their school, it can be said that the story tells more about their fun during the festival. However there is a bit of personal conflict between the captain and vice captain of this Harekaze Ship. Even so in this movie, the war scenes are also good, even in my opinion this is the most tense compared to the anime series. I hope there is a sequel to the series.
