That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime OAD
転生したらスライムだった件 OVA
One day, Shuna and Shion are fighting over Rimuru's squishy slime body as usual. Rimuru figures that giving them each a body double of himself would solve the conflict, but when he imagines some of his other friends asking him to do the same for them, he quickly drops that plan. Then he comes up with the idea to make a cushion in the shape of his slime form. He travels around Tempest to see if his friends know of any good materials he can use, and he learns that a special type of sand found along a lake shore in the forest is exactly what he's looking for. So he sets out to collect some sand... but a monster is waiting for him by the lake! What's more, Milim hears about his plan for a picnic and comes racing down from the sky! (Source: Crunchyroll)

Finally, after a grueling wait, it finished airing. For the record, this OVA was released along with a lengthy schedule and also in a weird drip-feeding manner. the second episode was the first one to air, and then a pause that spanned almost 4 months was issued until the second episode finally aired. That's when I was able to move along with my life, and start anticipating the wrap up of a sadly, average screening. Taking away everything that made the parent series so popular and lovable, the massive world-building, the built-up confrontation and the breathing surrounding the world, these two episodes enticed their gaze and providedmanufactory fan service that fed the ominous thirst some of the characters give off. I'm looking at you, Shuna.¨ Two whole episodes of mindless guilty pleasure, what really sales most of the shows from this genre. I would argue that the second episode was the better one, screening the awaited “beach episode”, while the first one had an erotic display of sumo wrestling, going as far as involving with butt-sumo-wrestling which couldn't stop me from thinking about Keijo!!!!!!!!. Trash only leads to trash. Either way; you can't really be harsh on an OVA, it was still fun and enjoyable. A lot of humor and “cultured” sightings. There is a huge audience for that.

TL;DR SCORES: - 7 for Story - 8 for Art - 8 for Sound - 9 for Character - 7 for Enjoyment - 7 for the Overall merit of it. My opinion of Slime much differed from the others. I found it a casual watch, but I also understood why others revered it as an amazing anime of the year it came out on. To me, it was a satisfying grind which much resembled the satisfaction of building up a new home, with funny and likeable characters. Essentially, Slime was Civilization: The Animation. How does the 5 OVA episodes hold up, though? To put it simply, there are 3 story arcs within these5 episodes. Each of them are highly memorable and whilst the first two don't expand on the world all that much, the final one is well-worth the watch, as it highlights the academy that Rimuru had the pleasure of teaching after Shizue's promise. Expect the usual artwork, voice acting, and music. The OVAs are still a blast to watch through - minus the fanservice. I've read a review on here saying it was "pure fanservice", but I beg to differ. These are still watchable even if you're not avid on it, as they will only take place towards the later segments of the first two episodes. The artwork and voice acting are still as fantastic as usual. Slime does not deliver Ufotable means of entertainment in its art, but regardless the unique style of Slime makes a nice contrast from the other anime of our time. Finally, if you're a Sub or Dub viewer, then expect amazing voices from both ends. As a person who saw Slime in both Sub and Dub for certain portions, I can confirm that they both hold their same level of emotion and value. In short: This is the traditional Slime experience. Regardless, if you - like me - thought that Slime was a satisfying watch, then these OVAs are something to consider. They were a fun, short, and sweet ride which expanded on certain characters and introduced new ones. Don't expect any Season 2 buildup, and see these as "Paralouge" missions that appeared midway through the main two arcs of Season 1 for our loveable cast.

It is hard to review this short series, because it is split into two diametrally different parts. And this split is why the series got such a low score. The two halves clash with each other so poorly. On one side, first two episodes of plotless, unfiltered ecchi. On the other, the rest episodes of fun children adventures. Let me repeat it again, pure, wholesome children adventures preceded by porn-lite. Of course thei time gap between emission kind of justifies that. But binging them one after another gives a huge whiplash. If only second part had its own series I'd give it much higher score. But even with it present,I cannot bring myself to rate the goddamn awful first part any higher.

This review is 100% subjective. (Bad English) This anime really represents all I wanted for in an anime,a perfect (for me) combination of Isekai and SoL (maybe for the 1st season) where you can enjoy every seconds watching it, a story where you unites different kind of creatures spesifically monsters (of course I wanted them to be goodlooking:). I really like the anime's concept (game system + isekai), there's so many skill and there isn't any level for the skill's power, which I find simple and enjoyable. Also, I think the rich in diversity of the creatures is the main reason I liked this anime. Iliked how they work together to create a world where different kinds of creature can live happily together. And for this OVA, I think it doesn't move the story so far, it just tell Rimuru's daily life which they skipped it at the 1st season. After all, it's just my personal opinion, thank you for reading:)

Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken OVA (2019-2020) Albeit it has taken a pretty long time to get all these OVA's it is a great marketing tactic before the next season to keep the show fresh in mind. The 5 OVA's are all very enjoyable and meet the expectations as you want without interfering directly with the main story so that season 2 can start where it wants to start. In theory season 2 could time skip and it would still work. The art is a great level that is wonderful on the eyes to see. Although edges of faces and such can be a bit crudeat times it is generally visually spectacular. Especially the user of magic which looks great on screen. The sound continues on with the spectacular SFX used. 'Dragon Buster' by Milim for me as part of the series as a whole remains an example of the effort put into the show. Generally, other sounds have improved slightly too. The characters all continue development as expected from before. It is nice to see more of the ways of the world and progresses that can be made whilst seeing some joyful and hilarious moments from the cast. Milim remains my favourite character for her over the top attitude although most others contribute too. As it is what it is I would recommend watching this if you wanted to see the second season and if you are new watch it after season 1 but all before season 2. 9/10.
