TL;DR: As good as sex, but lasted 60 minutes longer ;) First off, all I can say as a longtime fan of Seitokai Yakuindomo since all the way back in 2010 (yes, it's been over 10 years!!), is that it was an absolute joy and surprise when I found out they were making another movie for this series. After all, it's not often an anime that debuted more than a decade ago gets a sequel, let alone an anime that's basically just dirty joke after dirty joke. So my sincerest thanks to all the creators (and apparently crowdfunding contributors). Onto the review - so how was themovie? Quite simply, it absolutely beat my expectations. I went into the theater expecting a lazy cash grab for desperate fans hoping to see our favorite group of pervs one more time, coasting on an old franchise's legacy and tired running gags, but I am ecstatic to report that I was completely wrong. This second movie was even better than the first movie. First, I was quite impressed with the framing device for this movie - it opens with Shino reminiscing about old times, with a serious tone, implying something happened since we last saw her. But this framing device pays off pretty well at the end with a great punchline joke (not going to spoil it, but be sure to watch until the very end!!!). So hats off for going the extra mile instead of simply slapping together 1 hours' worth of non-sequitur jokes. Second, although I admit that the whole "high school girls telling dirty jokes" novelty has completely worn off by now, the jokes themselves still work and made me laugh out loud a few times, with many smaller chuckles throughout. Yes, many of the jokes fell flat (I'd say 1/3 bad jokes, 1/3 chuckle jokes, 1/3 genuinely laugh-worthy jokes), but when there's a joke coming every 30 seconds, there's no time to think about the jokes that didn't work. This is truly a rare case of quantity over quality! Third, for those who are hoping for more of the romance angle in terms of Tsuda's harem, this movie has also got you covered! Plenty of Shino and Hagimura blushing, and some of the other girls also hint at their entry into Tsuda's harem. People hoping for romance fanservice will get plenty of what they want! As for the technical aspects, the animation is on par with the first movie. To my surprise, there wasn't much skimping on the animation like I expected. In fact, a few scenes genuinely impressed me (for example, in scenes with the girls' hair waving and sakura petals falling). However, they reused the opening, and the music was nothing to write home about, so the sound was just OK. Overall, I quite enjoyed this movie. It was shorter than I would have liked (less than 1 hour 15 minutes I believe), and a bit disappointed at the lack of a new opening, but I can't really complain too much when I had a blast during that hour, and absolute nostalgia for the characters who I was unsure I'd ever see again in all their animated, perverted glory. Story: 8/69 Art: 7/69 Sound: 6/69 Character: 8/69 Enjoyment: 9/69 Overall: 8/69

Let's get my bias Out of the way I don't enjoy this type of humor anymore. I did once but not any longer. which is why I am rating it so low it's okay but not my thing. Honestly, I am being generous still giving this a 5 after what they pulled with the first 25 minutes of this movie. That being recycling 2 shorts from the 8th OVA of the second season. It's kinda inexcusable as it in no way ties to the movie it is just there to add time. I can only assume this was meant to come out before the pandemic andthey had to scramble after the fact. the movie itself is fine It is a lot like the last movie which was mostly an extended episode. I got a few chuckles here and there but not enough to ever watch this again. I am glad I can finally check this show off of my list.

Seitokai Yakuindomo Movie 2 (2021) Well, it is a fantastic showing for an established franchise but one that did make use of some old scenes renewed but ultimately rehashed. I fear some of the issues stem from the pandemic making production more difficult. The movie carries on as the parent show always does and pushes forward a school of naive but very active girls with the introduction of guys into their school lives. Honestly, it is a fun movie and gets you laughing as long as you like the humour. I would say it is definitely more on the adult audience with its jokes and satire. The art like the series is somewhat crude but excellent at the same time since it is still high quality. I love how all side and background characters no matter how little air time they get are properly animated. Sometimes serious, sometimes goofy but always fun. The OST is great as before, it reuses a lot but then it's an established show it would be weird to not use some again. The show doesn't need booming SFX. No formal character development happens during this whatsoever but that is because everyone is well established. The film given how long it's been the last does expect a bit much on knowing all the characters stories by heart as a situation. I would say it is a great film if you enjoy the humour. If you don't then it won't be for you. I wish the main lead would finally take a hint from Shino or any of the girls. 8/10. Not as good as before due to rehashing and no development. Shino is the best girl.

I've seen all series of this anime, but only now I made a review, all of them are good and the comedy about perverted things will make you laugh, but these are just words and there isn't really anything perverted in it, unlike echi anime which mostly shows perverted body parts. So in this anime, every thing that should be normal turns into a different situation because of the student council president's dirty words. The relationship between the two of them is also slowly but surely starting to get closer to each other, although not directly, but the romantic level is felt. And this second film really confusedme a bit because I thought they would be completely separated, after remembering everything they did together at school and outside of school. But those worries just disappear with the unexpected thing at the end, you better watch for more information. I hope that after this movie, there will be a continuation of their story, and I'm really looking forward to that, being made with the same studio and art style is something important in an anime.

At first I was confused, why I am watching scenes from an episode I already have watched at this point? Did I click on the wrong upload? Is there something wrong going on here? Did I make a mistake? Turns out I wasn't wrong, I hadn't committed a mistake nor clicked on the wrong upload. Instead, the movie had chosen to recycle scenes from a previous episode to, I can only presume, extend the total duration time of the film, I suppose. Originally, the sequel to the Seitokai Yakuindomo movie was set to come out in 2020, however, it would seem like the Covid-19 pandemic disruptedtheir production efforts and forced them to not only delay its release by one year, but to recycle scenes from a previous episodes as well. No matter how much of a good reason the production staff had to do what they ended-up doing, I find the recycling of scenes somewhat poor and unprofessional. They should just had cut the scenes they (presumably) didn't get ready on time even tough the movie would had been shorter in duration that way. I'll give this IP an lower overall score for that matter. Other than that, this movie turned out to be pretty good after all! Very solid humor and pretty funny jokes that are a stample of the franchise at this point. I know a had a blast watching this, even tough the film wasn't all that special when it comes to story. Speaking about story, there's essentially no overarching plot, like in the rest of the franchise. Not that this isn't a bad thing, that's what makes Seitokai Yakuindomo so charming, enjoyable and easy to swallow as it is. Know what you are getting into, especially if you are believing if this movie serves as a sort of "ending" for this franchise as a whole. Speaking of which, is this movie actually the "ending" for the franchise? I wouldn't actually know how to respond to that. It is true that manga this series is adapted from ended long ago, and certain parts of the film hint at it beign that. But we actually never get confirmation of that beign the case and I wouldn't actually be able to predict whatever GoHands would put a new IP for this series in the future or not. Personally, I would say that is the case, sadly. As I mentioned before, the manga has ended after 10 years of new volumes and the movie gives an "end to a franchise" kinda feel overall. But hey, what do I actually know? As easy as it was for me to affirm this statement, as easy it is for me to be completely wrong about it. Only the people behind this anime actually know what is going on behind scenes, after all. If you liked Seitokai Yakuindomo until this point, you might aswell finish the franchise at this point? Watch this movie, even if it is only to give closure to the story you were just following until this point. It is worth it.
