For the OGs, if you want a classic magic/battle seinen anime with an OP main character that isn't entirely plot-protected, then this is the one. The side characters do their job; they're not amazing, but they each compliment the story in their own way. Action sequences are actually pretty well done, and the MC is already a mature adult so there's none of that beta-male-good-for-nothing MC that so many people seem to like for some reason. This isn't a story where we follow each character from 0 to hero, but where everyone is already established as themselves. By this, I mean that characters have their ownmagic and attacks etc. without having to explain it to the audience beforehand or having to have brief descriptions of these characters, which is more realistic. If you battled a random person in a magic world, as if you'd know what the opponent's skillsets are / what spells they can cast, it would all be random and you'd have to fight for your life. I've heard a lot of complaining about the fact that we're just "thrown into" this story, but I prefer the fact that we don't have to waste 4 episodes on powering up and learning the basics, our MC Orphen is already established as one of the most talented wizards in the world at the beginning of the story.

Coming off the hedges of the reboot in 2019, I knew that this reboot which aims to be more faithful to the LN that it was based upon will be average, and guess what? Though the original 1998 Orphen is good on its own right, Season 1 is largely that boring and uninteresting (except that I love the OST there). Come forward a year or 2, and we get the continuation of Orphen, conspicuously titled Kinluck-hen, or the Kimluck Church arc. This promises to be one of the better arcs in the LN, and Season 2 here is entirely dedicated to the long arc. Though backthen trying to read this super long arc is a pain, at least give some credits to Studio Deen and the staff team for adapting this part that has somewhat of a right length of content...though I don't really care much for the plot as its lore was of some heavy exposition that only a minority will care about. I know I'm definitely not one of them. Otherwise, everything here is just the same as Season 1, no changes whatsoever, except with a new OST that sounds fine. Once again, both Shoutarou Morikubo and Mai Fuchigami aces somewhat with the new OST, though I find that I jig better with Season 1's OST. A nitpick, but this is plenty fine. A better showing than Season 1 overall, but to me, it hinges a lot like 1999's Orphen: Revenge that as decent as it could be.

I came of season 1 with low expectations, somehow got a pleasent surprise! The pacing on this season 2 is much easier to follow, altough the main storyline is still overcomplicated at points, we get some actually interesting motivation for some characters, not so much for others wich makes this a pretty average anime I sorta cut it right in the middle in terms of enjoyability. The art is actually really decent and the soundtracks are ok, I decided to write this review solely because the ending made me want to read the continuation to see where it goes, I would also enjoy a 3rd season! In resume,if you have a couple hours to waste you shouldn't be too dissapointed by this, altough there is a lot of better anime you could be watching! Hope I was helpfull somehow :]

Overall: 5.95 / 10 I feel truly disappointed, I feel that this second part does not represent at all what was seen in its prequel and I feel that having seen this entire sequel, it was a complete waste of time. This Remake of Orphen entitled Hagure Tabi, had a good start in its first season when both the animation, the sound, the narrative rhythm of the story and its main plot focus were on the same frequency that leads to this being a well achieved show , regardless of the particular tastes of each person. However, now it has been totally disfigured. (I know that I amrelapsing a lot in the comparison between both seasons but it is necessary to understand why I am angry / disappointed in it) In the first season we could see how Orphen began his adventure journey to find Azalie and solve the problems of his past and the betrayals of his companions, etc. In addition to integrating new companions so that the environment is even more likely to enjoy and the most important thing is that these Majic and Cleo had a functionality within the show. But now they are merely converted into a garbage bag that does not receive an iota of minutes in the program and even our protagonist is only rendered useless (when he was all Badass) but the rhythm of the story does not let us glimpse everything that our Mc is happening and how he manages to overcome adversity. Instead they replaced everything to create a shield of the plot where it has a beginning and an end but nothing of the process or the justification of the facts themselves. Making the viewer only disoriented and not transmit empathy towards the cast of characters. I understand that this was a very extensive "Arc" to work on in just 11 CHAPTERS !! NOT EVEN 12 !!. But it was definitely much more gratifying to have stayed with the image of the first season and not with this bad taste of Boca. (And I'm not even going to talk about the "enemies" of this arc, because if I already talk about the main cast like that, imagine the other characters that are worse than a piece of wet cardboard) --------------------- EN ESPAÑOL -------------------------------------- General: 5,95 / 10 Me siento verdaderamente decepcionado, siento que esta segunda parte no representa en nada a lo que se pudo ver en su precuela y siento que habiendo visto toda esta secuela completa, fue una completa perdida de tiempo.

Took me a long time to review this season. It's my favorite and the only one I actually think it's at least good to some degree. Well, let's delve into this review. This is originally from my Twitter reply to someone asking for a review. It's FOR ME an 8/10, but being honest and not doing value judgint, I thint 7/10 would be fair. Although rushed (as all Orphen season by Deen), this one is less rushed than usual, not due to better writing and adapting but simply because the source material of this arc has less pages. Animation improved quite significantly, Considering thefirst season and it's the best looking season of all 4. Has the best (and almost only) sakugas of the newer series and a proper villain, something Orphen lacks quite often, specially during the despair arc (Urbanrama-Sanctuary). The drawbacks are, logically, animation isn't still on par with the J.C Staff version, so is the direction and pacing, the show still feels rushed and it's the shorter of all 4 seasons with only 11 episodes long, at least 14 would benefit the plot a shitload better But the director still does a half assed job, mostly. The OST is the same from season 1: mediocre. So, I guess it sums up this season 2.
