Summoned to Another World for a Second Time
異世界召喚は二度目です
There was once a man who was summoned to another world, and saved it. Of course, he became too popular there, and turned into an isekai-normie. However, that man fell into a "trap" and was forcibly returned to his original world. Moreover, he had to start over as a baby! This is the story of the way-too-fantastic ex-hero who lived as a gloomy high-schooler, as he gets summoned once again to that same other world in a very unexpected development! I’ll be short for anyone reading this—I won’t be long. This anime might be generic, and it has all the things people may say about any fantasy anime, but this anime is the worst offender of all... it’s quite bad to the point that it hurt my eyes. I lost my humanity after watching this, just to leave a testament for others. This anime really damages the reputation of isekai. My hand is shaking as I struggle to describe how badly written this anime is. I’m short on words, as I’m not very good at expressing myself, so understanding what truly bad and awful can beis hard to convey. If you happen to watch this, I ask forgiveness for isekai anime that is getting hit by this thing.

As an no-life isekai enjoyer, if you: - like isekai, - enjoys isekai - and. have time to watch it. Then watch it. MIXED FEELINGS because, I don't think it would be worth for some especially when 'I' feel like the story's pacing, or at least in this adaptation isn't quite right or enjoyable. I kind of hate it when the information are rushed in the last few episodes where you are forced to process these details(maybe I'm stupid), I'll end up with 'what just happened?'. Especially at the ending where cases like, "the problem is solved, the end", "I'll give you a minute or twofor the after scenes, the end". My main problem about this anime is about the lack of explanation on the MC, I feel like there's little detail on his background that I had to search it somewhere in the internet to further understand. AND to clarify, I didn't put all of the anime I know here on MAL, I wouldn't want someone to see this review of mine and think that, "oh this dude only knows new animes". Anyways, this is my opinion, my review, maybe by watching it you'd see the better side of the anime. Sorry for bad Engrish, PEACE!

[JP, subtitle quality is ok~, includes honorifics, sometimes the wording strikes a different impression from what the speaker has said] To start, this anime is not amazing. It is underrated but it is not a hidden gem. What is a gem is the absurdly good selection of what to animate and how to animate it. Everything is animated with purpose. You might think that is a given but you would be wrong. It is a rarity in these "throwaway" isekai. The type of isekai that you will not remember a week after seeing. The type that have a 50/50 chance of being dropped. This is oneof those isekai. However, what sets this isekai apart from those others is that it is a self contained story. Everything you need to know is presented to you. This anime is not for the phone diddling crowd. The exposition is not fed to you mouth-to-mouth, what does get stated will not be repeated, and you are expected to be looking at the screen at the anime. It is also assumed you understand human emotions and will deduce what is going on in a character's head by their actions and how they express themselves. There is not much complexity in it here, only a lot of stupid viewers. This is especially important to episodes 9, 10, and 11. This anime is more plot driven than character driven. Characters are not stuck in undeveloped states. They lack screentime. The point of view shifts as the story requires and because of that you do not get to appreciate the characters much. The one critical flaw shows itself early on in the form of a an attempt to resolve a conflict which comes off as extremely naive to the viewer. Avoiding spoiling, the reasons for this are the perceived naivety of what should be an important strong character, and how hollow the promise looks in the face of the conditions required in the agreement. At face value it appears to be stupid writing. But if you use your brain for a moment to consider 1) the perspective of the important character and what they believe the source of the war is, and 2) the significance of the item from the previous episode. The reason this flaw is so critical is that you do not expect this form of presentation from a cheap isekai and it results in almost 100% of drops and those who continue then believe the writing is too low of quality to merit immersion meaning the significance of what is shown to them becomes lost because they are no longer putting thought into it. And it is not until later that it is made clear nobody knew about THAT person's abilities at the time. How the anime handled the war is impressive to me. They did not make the mistake of blowing the budget and their time on trying to depict some grand stage. Instead you get shown concise events and actions that communicate the intentions, purpose, and procession of those involved with high efficiency. Once more everything is animated with purpose. This is, by far, the best produced of the budget isekai bin. For what faults it has, animation is not one of them. I wish this was standard approach to animating scenes- ensuring that what is shown is delivering information or connecting to neighboring cuts. This would have received an 8/10 if there were more episodes. 12, with the staff's approach, was too few to get enough time for the characters. Of what we do get, I love the protagonist, the kemonololis, the antagonist, the childhood friend, and the chair. In the face of how many treat it like shit I wanted to review this because if A-CAT or EMT had this approach to animating on a tight budget their shows would be watchable.

This is another average isekai anime, but rated slightly higher since unlike most ones similar to this, this actually has a slightly complex plot, somewhat better than poorly executed AND MANAGES TO HAVE NO PLOT HOLES! (Except the randomly assigned power level of literally everyone). As many anime series of this genre exist, very few have the uniqueness required for them to be popular, or be recommended, and this one kinda comes close. As a review, I would recommend this if you want to watch "zero struggle" battle scenes, with an overpowered mc yet again, but with a single plot twist to the whole thing.

This is the 200th anime I've watched since I made my account here, so I decided to write a short review to celebrate this "distinguished" moment. [TLDR: I could have choosen a better one] You may ask why it is recommended despite I rated it for a measly 4? The thing is, this show has some merits despite the abysmal execution. Such merits which is rare in the isekai genre. You may wonder, what merit can a crappy generic isekai have? Simple, a finished story. That alone is commendable. Well, this is the sad reality of the isekai genre. It counts almost a miracle if weever see the end of an adventure. Other than that the only aspect of the show worth mentioning are the characters. Don't expect much, but the MC is acceptable. Nothing spectacular, but he is not a whimpy looser, which is always a win in my book. The sidekicks are forgettable cardboard cutouts though. Not to mention most of them are completly unneccesary. Anyway, as an Isekai connoisseur, I have seen far worse. What are the flaws? Basically everything else. So I'm not gonna waste your time explaining them, here is a list instead: -Low budget animation -Horrendous, laughable fight coreography -Unremarkable stock OST (and terrible sound balance) -Semi-interesting premise ruined by the painfully unimaginative writing and catastrophic pacing -Episode starts->MC goes to a new place->Meets with an old friend->Friend overjoyed->Flashback how they met. Rince and repeat. -I don't even know what the hell was the last 3-4 episodes. Damn, it was garbage. The finale is semi-decent though. In summary, a horribly executed garbage show, which doesn't even meet the fairly low Isekai standards, but at least a finished product, and I appriciate the attempt. So, to support the initiative, I slapped a recommended tag on it. It would be nice to see more finished Isekai stories, but for god's sake, please execute it at least decently.
