Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki Yonsatsume

The 4th season is over? That kind of came outta nowhere. There isn't even a review out on the main page yet. I'm not complaining mind you, because this advertisement has definitely run it's course. You half heartedly let out a little chuckle at one or two of the jokes, strain a smile every now and then at the characters antics, but most of the time it's listening to a barrage of Japanese cultural references that mostly go over your head, blankly staring at your TV screen as you act like you're actually interested in what they're selling. But you already know all this obviously,this is the fourth season of course! So why am I still here? I don't really know myself. Because it's easy to binge at only 2-3 minutes of actual content an episode? I sure as hell wouldn't be watching this if it was a full length comedy, that's for damn sure. It's kind of cute and not too serious? Possibly. Seasons 2, 3 and 4 can't match S1's perfect balance between references thrown at the viewer and other SOL/School moments. It's too much now. This show must be gold for the Japanese audience though, they actually get it. Anyway, it's turning into Yami Shibai, stop while you're ahead. 4/10.
