Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid 3rd Season

This was by far one of the best animes I've watched in a very long time. It has been so long since I've felt this invested into a show. From the characters, to the lore, to trying to unveil the mysteries and figure them out before watching the next episode. I loved watching this anime. I started watching the Duke of Death when there was only 3 episodes remaining of season 3. In around 2 days I had caught up to the latest episode from season 1 episode 1 to the final 3 of season 3. There wasn't a single episode in this anime thatI would consider bad. Season 3 was not my favourite of the 3 seasons, I think I'd say season 2 was my favourite but they did a great job wrapping up pretty much everyones story. The finale included. The finale did feel slightly rushed (but only by a little bit) with wrapping up Victor and Alice's story but at the same time all I got was goosebumps watching it. I would love a season 4 but that's most likely never going to happen but after watching that I feel like reading the manga. As of writing this I have never read a manga before as I've just never really been that interested in it, but this is the first time in which I want to more from a series. The sound track was really nice, CGI was... still a bit jarring at times, wasn't super colorful but also wasn't dreary to look at. Almost all the characters I liked. Still found Viola to be a bit annoying but I feel they toned her down a little bit (not much though) and honest I'm just satisfied with the ending overall. In the future I will definitely be re watching The Duke of Death. 9/10

I don't like this show, I don't love this show, I absolutely ADORE this show. This show is like a sweet person in your life that you want to see succeed. I love its wonky unique CGI, I love how all the characters act whimsical and don't take themselves too seriously, and I love how the themes in the show are very noble and hopeful. I love the dynamic of the main duo cast. How Alice flirts up close with the Duke even though he can kill her if he touches her is an element to the show that is both suspenseful and sweet at thesame time. The show is like going on an animatronic ride at Disney land: Yeah, it may be a little scary and have a dark story, but the whole time you have characters singing, cheerful characters reminding you to be happy, and scenery that keeps you coming back every episode. This show is probably the most pleasant anime I have ever seen. And it had a GREAT ending. All wrapped up in 3 seasons, just the perfect amount of time. Some people get turned off by the visuals, but I can tell you that this is the studio that did High Score Girl and that the visuals were INTENTIONAL. The way they move their limbs and that iconic head style make this an anime that just sticks out in my mind. Every character in this show is special, whimsical, full of development, and a lot of fun to be around. Highly Recommended.

Far superior to the first two, this season can be summarized just like that. Let's start with the wood and leave the gold for the end. Starting with the worst part of this season, which were the musicals... they were just there to spoil the mood of the scenes. They were so forgettable that I can't even remember how many there were, but I remember one with particular disdain—the one on the rooftop—ruining the perfect atmosphere that had been created. Another problem is the lack of excitement in the battles; all of them are very slow and try to force themselves to be comedic, failing both as comedyand as action. And I must mention that all this friendship power nonsense has irritated me since Fairy Tail and kind of ruined the final resolution, as everything seemed to be resolved in a very trivial manner. Having said all that... now let's get to the pure essence of it, the pinnacle of what a romance anime is. As action or battles, the anime is weak and bad... but when it comes to romance... my friends, it is an audiovisual masterpiece. This season came to fully develop all the romantic relationships of all the characters in the story at once. And it did so with excellence. As a result, several characters benefited from these resolutions, gaining new layers and becoming much more interesting than they ever were. Daleth and Water were perfect this season and starred in the best romantic scenes as well. Everything was very cute, fun, and extremely delightful to watch. The entire emotional weight of our MC and Alice was perfect; I shed tears watching it... it was so anticipated, so beautiful, and the best part, they didn't ruin the scene with a crappy musical. Finally, we have the resolutions for all the characters, each in their proper place, without the need for more explanations—a closed ending, something that many authors and publishers should learn to do. It leaves a taste of wanting more, like some OVAs showing their daily lives together, but still, I finish my review extremely happy and satisfied with an ending that was a great gift for those who have been following the story since its first season. A solid 8, no doubt about it. Para os brazucar Muito superior as duas primeiras, essa temporada se resume a isso. Bom vamos começar pela madeira e deixar o ouro para o final. Começando com a pior dessa temporada, que foram os musicais... que estavam la e existiam meramente para estragar o clima das cenas, eram tão esquecíveis que nem lembro quantos tiveram, mas lembro de um com um certo odio a mais, que foi o do telhado... estragando o clima perfeito que havia sido criado. Outro problema é a falta de empolgação nas batalhas, todas elas são muito paradas e tentam forçar para serem cômicas, ai nem funciona como comedia, nem como ação. A vale lembrar que toda essa balela de poder da amizade me irrita desde Fairy Tail, e meio que estragou o desfecho final, pois tudo pareceu se resolver de maneira muito banal. Dito tudo isso... agora vamos para o suquinho de quero mais, o puro suco do milho, o apice do que é um anime de romance. Como ação ou batalhas o anime é fraco e ruim... porem no que diz respeito a romance... meus amigos, é uma obra de arte audiovisual, essa temporada veio para desenvolver completamente todas as relações românticas de todos os personagens da obra de uma vez só. E diga-se de passagem fez isso com primazia. Com isso varios personagens se beneficiaram dessas resoluções, ganhando novas camadas e se tornando bem mais interessantes do que jamais foram, Daleth e Water foram perfeitos nessa temporada, e protagonizaram as melhores cenas de romance dela também, tudo muito fofo, divertido e extremamente delicioso de se assistir. Todo o peso final do nosso MC e da Alice, foi perfeito, derramei lagrimas vendo aquilo... foi tão esperado, tão bonito, e a melhor parte, não estragaram a cena com uma merda de musical. Por fim temos os desfechos de todos os personagens, cada um no seus devido lugar, sem necessidade de mais explicações, um final fechado, algo que muito autores e editoras deveriam aprender a fazer. Resta um gosto de quero mais, como alguns OVAs mostrando o desfecho do dia a dia deles juntos, mas ainda assim finalizo minha critica extremamente feliz e satisfeito com um final que foi um presente e tanto para quem vem acompanhando a obra desde sua primeira temporada. Um solido 8, não me resta duvidas disso.

The Duke of Death and His Maid Season 3 was everything I hoped it would be and more. Honestly, as I sit down to write this, I’m still feeling all the emotions from that final episode. Saying goodbye to Bocchan and Alice is tough because their journey has been such a heartwarming, emotional rollercoaster. This season tied up all the loose ends beautifully. The main focus was on Bocchan’s mission to confront Sade, the witch responsible for his curse. What I loved most about this was how Bocchan insisted on a peaceful resolution. While his friends were all about capturing Sade by force, Bocchan’s determination tounderstand her and seek a truce felt so true to his character. That kind of compassion and wisdom is what makes him such an incredible protagonist. One of the standout aspects of this season was how it humanized even the villains. It was such a surprise to see the supposed enemies slowly reveal their own painful backstories. By the end of the series, everyone—whether friend or foe—had become part of this oddly beautiful, extended family. And oh my gosh, when Bocchan’s curse was finally broken… I can’t even put into words how that moment felt. Watching him and Alice share their first real hug was pure magic. It was such a long time coming, and I was honestly tearing up. Their tears, their smiles, the way they finally got to feel each other’s warmth—it was everything I had been waiting for since Season 1. That scene alone is worth rewatching a hundred times. The white rose symbolism from the start of the series came full circle, too. When Bocchan gave Alice that rose, it was a promise that he’d stay by her side no matter what. To see that promise fulfilled by the end, with them getting married and starting their life together, was just so satisfying. The side characters got their happy endings too, which was the cherry on top. Cuff and Zain, Walter and Daleth, and even Rob and Viola—all these relationships were handled with so much care. Seeing everyone love and support each other made the ending feel complete. The final scene, where Bocchan and Alice prepare to move to a new town, was bittersweet. It’s like closing a chapter but knowing they’ll create even more beautiful memories together. Honestly, I’m hoping for an OVA or a movie that shows their life after marriage—Alice teasing Bocchan (because let’s be real, that’s never going to stop), making new friends, and maybe even starting a family? This series has left such a lasting impression on me. It’s not just about breaking a curse; it’s about love, resilience, and how even in the darkest moments, there’s hope. 10/10, no doubt. Thank you, Bocchan and Alice, for all the memories. You’ll be missed!
