エレメントハンター
In 2029, a large scale ground sinkage occurred in the Mediterranean Sea. Chemical elements such as oxygen, carbon, gold, molybdenum, and cobalt disappeared from the earth's crust suddenly. The human population was decreased by 90% in sixty years. Researchers found out that the disappeared elements were drained into a planet "Nega Earth", located in another dimension. To save the Earth, a special team called the "Element Hunters" is organized. All of the members are under 13 years old, because young and flexible brains are needed to access "Nega Earth".

Ok, as others have mentioned, this series has a bad rap. However, the concept is amazing! I really enjoyed this series, since I am a scientist... I loved the idea of nega-Earth and element dematerialization. The story wasn't too complex, but it had a sense of learning, which is important in its own right. The animation was alright but I really liked the music. I thought it was catchy. The characters were straightforward and sweet. There were some "twists" that arose, which made the plot more interesting. Overall, don't knock it till you try it!!

I think two years ago i attempted first episode of this anime and dropped it. Again on 6th of November 2015, i watched it till 8th episode thinking it as boring. But i watched it this time with my mom, sister and her 9 year old son and it did excited us till the last episode. Literally i hated Chemistry especially periodic table and electron configuration while i was studying 10th class. But after watching this anime i remember that silver is Ag. What i mean to say is that anyone can fall in love with chemistry, especially the topic i discussed above. Story: It iscomplete fiction story of creative imagination of what will happen to Earth and its residents if the elements of the Earth evaporate resulting in wholes in the surface of Earth, which is termed in this anime 'Element dematerialization". International Government forms a colony in the outer space near earth's axis, where it trains special children who can enter the Nega Earth where the dematerialized elements of earth escape to. These children are called ELEMENT HUNTERS. In the earth every child goes through screening test for eligible candidates and once selected will be sent to the colony. So the colony children are the heroes for the people of Earth. But none knows that their actual saviors are amidst them namely -Ren, Chiara and Homi. These three children accidentally enter a building which is invisible to others of the Earth. After passing the test given by an android named juno, these become "UNOFFICIAL ELEMENT HUNTERS." Our heroes constantly go to Nega Earth and defeat QEX and obtain the relevant posi-Element. I would not reveal much but the three children's personality and the BRAIN develop during their adventures. Characters : Juno's character makes us sad at the end. Ally's character might have been shown more actively. Tom is a genius who invents gears for their transportation in Nega Earth. But his words had lot of meaning, which is not vivdly shown as his laughter wipes away the impact of his words. Tom seems to be sadistic who enjoys in twisting others relationships but he is essential Genius besides Dr. Aimee Carr, the scientist who is responsible for all this. I might have given 10 but the romantic relationships were too confusing in this anime. There were some scenes where our heroes and space heroes go for Alien rings, but later on alien's issue was completely nullified at the end. Enjoyment: My family and i had enjoyed it very much. It starts with collecting material, but there are puzzles, adventures and in essence teaches THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SPOKEN WORDS in terms of how a bitterly spoken word can change the world.

I'm one of those people who doesn't judge a show by a slow start. This is because it is not unusual for shows that start slow to become better and more interesting as the story becomes deeper, the characters grow on you and become interesting, and specific features of the show, like action or drama, become more intense. Unfortunately, Element Hunters is not this kind of show. It starts off slow and stays slow. The entire time I watched the show I never felt much in terms of interest. The main reason I kept watching it was because of myearlier statement about slow starting shows and I don't like quitting things I started. Something that always bugged me about this show is that it feels like it was made for a younger audience, but the conversations can become so complicated and detailed that it would remind me a little bit of the overcomplicated conversations in shows like Ghost in the Shell. I suppose this is due to the fact that the show revolves around a complicated science, but it just doesn't feel like it mixes well with the show in general. Now even though it sounds like I hate this show, the thing is that I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. It falls into that weird middle ground where you can't figure out how you feel about it. Story - 5 The story is unique, Elements being sent to another world and kids trying to retrieve them is something I have never heard of in a show before. As mentioned earlier though, the story telling felt slow to me though. A lot of episodes deal with characters mostly talking, which I don't mind, but only if the conversations are interesting. The show tends to revolve around characters speaking long winded conversations about the pseudo science dealing with the elemental dematerialization, or talking about how to combine elements in a fashion that feels like you are supposed to be watching the show in a science class. Art - 6 Art was pretty good, the characters looked pretty normal, the environments were OK, and the design for some of the creatures stood out to me as cool. Sound - 4 This gets a 4 because a lot of the character's voices would often get on my nerve. Character - 5 Characters are fleshed out throughout the series, but I found myself not caring when they did. These episodes didn't feel that deep, so that even though I came to understand the characters better, I didn't feel like it actually mattered really. Enjoyment - 4 Just didn't get much enjoyment from this show. Too many annoyances kept getting in the way. Overall - 5 Despite all my gripes about the show. I still found myself interested when a new episode came out. To me this means that I liked the show to a degree, but just not enough for me to give it praise.

I took Element Hunters as a kid's show, and with that in mind I thoroughly enjoyed the show. It is a cut above kid's shows today and I even learned some things, with amusing characters and compelling friendships along the way. You would enjoy this show if you want one that is mostly light, but with an important goal in the end - the first episodes are quite light-hearted and stand alone, while later the show culminates without getting too heavy. Anyway, I thought Element Hunters was adorable and I would definitely want kids to watch it.

I first found this when I was browsing for Anime to watch. I found the cover fairly appealing and quite liked the overview summary. This series has a very SLOW start, so unless you're a patient and tolerant individual as myself, then I suggest finding a more fast paced, more mature anime, but it's worth the wait in my case. Even though it's basically a children's anime, I guess I can't really judge it too harshly. I mean, if I showed this to my 5 year old cousin, she would have fallen in love as I did with Pokemon when I was younger. It's basically dependingon your age, if you're younger/very childish, I guess this anime can appeal to you, but if you're a young adult seeking more fierce battling, I suggest watching Naruto or something else. It's rated for kids, so not a lot of blood. Anyways, I liked the peaceful ending and I watched the credits peacefully before reluctantly closing the tab where I was watching it. I really liked the series and I recommend this series to a younger audience. If you have a young sibling or young friend that wants to watch an adventure anime, show them this! It's easy going and has a peaceful nature. It also teaches partially about chemistry and I loved watching the little Chemistry signs because they looked so cute! I enjoyed this series and was a bit sad when it ended, but I'll remember the Earth Gang. Like how I remember all my shows that made me cry. [8/10] :D Note to CHRISTIAN (Religion) Also a warning, one thing that bugged me also is that as a Christian, I was a bit surprised to find the Illuminati Pyramid (Pyramid with an eye on it, basically a symbol used in cults or something) incorporated into the story. Don't worry, there's no demon summoning/possession or anything like that, but I just found it kind of funny. Why did they put it there? It only appears in full form in the last 10 episodes, but disappears before the end of the series, probably for a duration of 2-3 episodes, so it's not that big of a deal. So if you're a very devoted Christian, I recommend not showing this to your kids if you don't want them to be influenced (some people are like that). You don't have to listen to me, but I warned you. **SPOILER REVIEW** Story's pretty good, although it's pretty generic. It's a similar plot to many other anime, but it's very enjoyable for me to see them action adventure-y all the time. The Art style is pretty old, so I can't really blame it for having semi-bad graphics compared to today anime (2014). I have to say, I was REALLY annoyed by Ren's voice acting. I ended watching the ENTIRE series with no volume and with subtitles. As of now, I don't really know how any of the characters sound like, but it irritates me when Ren speaks. Characters are awesome! I feel in love with Ren (though I curse his voice), he's not the average "I lost my parents/siblings/friends/mentor/anythingelseimportant so I'm going to be really awesome and mysterious" type of hero, which is something unusual. I liked that, I think they mixed the plot with dealing with the parents pretty well. Also when Ally apparently died, I was appalled because I liked her and I totally shipped Ren and Ally. I was relieved to find out that she was alive when I sped to the wikipedia and spoiled that she was alive and that Juno was going to die too (Oops :P). Despite knowing that Juno was going to die, I actually cried when Juno died, and I'm 17 years old (I'm really emotionally childish btw). That android grew on me and I rarely shed tears for a child's show. The way that Ally "died" to protect Ren reacted kind of hurt me because I had a friend close to me who died too (although my dead friend was not really heroic in that sense, but it still stings). I was kind of shocked that they were willing to kill Juno off though, something that differs from the other Children Anime like Pokemon and Digimon. Digimon does have allies dying and stuff, but I haven't cried it. I haven't really seen anyone *important* from the Pokemon series dying, other than Lucario [Movie] and Latios [Movie] (and technically Ash in the first film, but he generically came back to life). Romantic wise, I really wanted Ren and Ally to be a couple, I mean he even said that she smelled nice and hugged her. I think maybe in the future, they might :P Chiara and Rodney was also pretty cute couple (now official as of the ending of the season), but I ship Ren and Ally even more :D It's funny though, how Ren didn't really have a main love interest like in most anime or shows as the main character, I support that! There should be more like Ren. There really should **SPOILER END**
