Amazing as an intro to a series, but only pretty good as a standalone movie. It takes a potentially controversial premise of religious cooperation and somehow manages to make a pretty non-offensive and entertaining intro-story to an ip. First, the characters are pretty great, albeit a bit rushed. Father park may turn out to be a badass priest on par with Wolfwood, Abel, Anderson, etc.; but the complexity of his character was only touched on during the movie. And his and the other characters’s designs are great, unique, and really fun to see animated. And for 3d, the animation is great! Most of the story ispretty lackluster, though. There are some really great scenes with some amazing Christian aura farming and heartfelt moments, but the overall plot is really simple and predictable. Like seeing the cool moments and reading a plot synopsis would be a pretty good way to experience this. But if more content and a full series eventually comes, then maybe the slower parts of the movie will be more worth watching. But the movie’s kind, and not overly cheesy, treatment of Christianity improves the movie a ton for me— enough for me to bump my 6/10 rating to a 9/10.
