This got on my radar because I've been a big Crayon Shinchan fan since I was a child, and it did not disappoint! Personally, I really enjoy watching slice of life, or food anime, so this is the perfect combination with the comical Hiroshi eating to his heart's content. Each episode, we follow Hiroshi to find the food of his choice amidst a busy work day. Hiroshi will often get new ideas while enjoying his meals, from concocting the best food combinations that he has never tried, to being inspired by tasty food to resolve conflicts with his colleagues. It's so funny yet comforting andrelatable. The animation is cute, with a nice opening song and soundtrack. Everything fits perfectly and puts a smile on your face. This ended up being my favourite anime of the season. I look forward to watching it every weekend and am really sad that it's now over. I love the comedy element as much as understanding Japanese food culture/Japanese fusion food. The message of the show is pretty much: if you're upset or feeling defeated today, let's eat some food, take a deep breath and recalibrate. Such an uplifting show and will always have a special place in my heart! :^)
