I could honestly say that this one got me pretty much surprised, especially during this boring time when there is nothing worth to watch. The plot is way more complex than I've ever thought with such a very simple theme. However, the plot twist release speed is kinda fast, even if everything is connected together in the end, it is still pretty fast. The duration is only 85 min so yeah I cannot demand more. Also, the graphic is so good, really makes me remember about the endless forest in "The tunnel to summer, the exit of goodbye". So, in conclusion, I rate it 8,not that high but more than satisfactory. Sometimes those shiny gems that appeared from nowhere can really that bright. 2024 was "Lonely Castle in the Mirror" and 2025 was this.

This film was just screened at a film festival in my city. I’ve been waiting to see it for a long time and unfortunately was a bit disappointed. Very beautiful with a fun, unique premise and some interesting characters. But for a story literally about books and the power of storytelling, the storytelling wasn’t great. There is a lot of slow exposition - too much telling and not enough showing. Probably would’ve been better as a 6 episode limited series or something so they could spend more time showing the history rather than just having a character explain it to you. If you just want something veryvisually appealing - you should watch. But if you’re looking for phenomenal storytelling, this falls short.
