うさぎちゃんで CUE!!
Mikami Inaba was fighting a person from another school on her school's rooftop. As they fought, her friend Haru appeared. Seeing Mikami distracted, the man charged at her, causing both of them to break the nearby rabbit cages & fall off the roof. As Mikami fell, she desperately grabbed the rabbit. Suddenly, a flash or pink light appeared. Mikami fused with the rabbit, and gained another personality, called Mimika. Now, Mikami only appears when various people threaten her and her friends. Otherwise, she takes on the form of Mimika. (Source: ANN)

You have to hand it to Japan; they are at the very least unique when it comes to dreaming up absurd story concepts and then finding someone to actually produce them. The show in question is Usagi-chan de Cue!!, a moderately bad to horrible ecchi anime that combines the anime staples of shounen fighting, harems, and impossible breasts all topped with a pair of bunny ears. The plot is ridiculous and silly, even by anime standards. Nor does it really make any sense either. It’s not that this really matters, because clearly what it is about is gigantic tits, tank tops and lowangle panty shots. Though I was not going into this expecting a deep storyline but everything that is presented is completely nonsensical and a bit disturbing. What you might be able to decipher from it though is that a secret organization is making human-animal hybrids for unknown purposes. I think. Or maybe they are just spontaneously happening on their own, apparently because they are lonely. I get lonely too sometimes. Does this mean I am going to wake up one morning with rabbit years and a fluffy tail? And now, on to our hero and heroines. Every good harem anime (and bad one too) needs a dull, lifeless, loser hero to attract his covey of buxom babes. Haru fills this role, as the animal loving guy who must fend off his slutty harem from making him see their enormous tits or trying to sleep with him. I mean what kind of teenager would want that!? Mikami/Mimika and Miku star as the chief threats to his virginal ways. Mikami is a violent girl but when merged with the rabbit she becomes a completely different type as the moe affectionate stupid girl Mimika. The story manages to delve into Mikami's sad and tragic past but there is little emotional meat behind any of it. The most unbelievable part about Mikami is her total and complete lack of any reaction to becoming half rabbit. I mean really? Hello? You have bunny ears and a tail! This doesn't freak your out even a little bit? She basically just treats it like its always been that way. On the other hand, Miku is our long suffering childhood friend who has always loved the male lead but doesn’t have the courage to say so. Yawn... where have I seen this before? Oh yeah, everywhere! The supporting cast exists mostly for laughs. The villains are shadowy and lack any substance to make them hated or to even understand their motives. Of all of them Chou, the dog boy is probably the most amusing character in the series. The running gag with his changing headband was worth a few chuckles. Artistically this show is really not appealing at all. If your desire is to see breasts and up skirt shots there are other anime that do it far better than this one. The breasts in particular are absurd looking and I have to honestly wonder if the artist behind these designs has ever even seen a real woman naked before. The action and fighting scenes are not compelling either. I suppose the music track and acting would constitute the high point of this series but that is giving it too much credit. They are average at best though some of the character voices are annoying to listen to. Mimika's performance in particular is increasingly irritating and grates on ones nerves as the show progresses. Even hard core fans of ecchi and bunny ears would be hard pressed to find anything remarkable about Usagi-chan. If you really want to watch girls fighting you would be better off with something like Ikkitousen or Sekirei.

I can understand why this show gets low ratings because it's nothing really special and doesn't have much substance to it. Even though I haven't seen Ikkitousen I can tell you that they are similar when it comes to school girls fighting and ecchi goodness. Also clothes are ripped apart like in Ikkitousen when girls fight. The absolute main reason I liked this show was because of the fan service. There is so much of it and that's something I really love. I enjoyed the show entirely for what it was. If you love huge boobs and big booty's then you will most likely enjoythis show very much if you really don't care whether the story is good or not.

When I was 18 and deep into the world of anime, I was a forgiving gal who really wanted to laugh, and sex was funny- if you like to laugh at intentional and unintentional anime moments this could very well be the anime for you! Characters: They're basic, lets be honest. Looking at the cover you can probably guess what kind of characters are going to be in this show. You've got the childhood friend, the chii or nii character and then you have oblivious boy. WAIT WAIT WAIT wait.... you weren't here for the character development, were you? The character interactions are ablast and there's some quotable lines I still say out loud especially if someone offers me a drink from their cup. If you watch you'll understand why. Story: It's been a long time since I sat down and watched this show, but holy tripple G's will I ever forget it! There is a story, and it's a lot of fun to watch it, cough, and count the panty shots. For as sleazy as it is I don't think it's a bad show!

Story is weak, although it features some core human things that some media makers have forgotten. In other words, despite it being ecchi, it's not a loathsome abomination like "Big Mouth" et al. The chicks are into the guy. The guy is into the chicks. The chicks are pretty hot. There's fighting. Not always extremely smoothly animated, but, it's at least laid out and visualized in an appealing way. The opening has a nice tune, the ending, too. The concept art book is great (although that is of course a side thing). All in all, quite good anime, for visuals. Very appealing designs. And I don't just meanthat they're revealing, but the proportions and shape language is very appealing. (This would be true even at smaller bust and ass sizes) Certainly not a show with runts in it. Turn off your brain, sit back, and enjoy something nice. Cause ironically, it's not even that gratuitous. It's very blatant, but not excessively gratuitous. It's like sitting on a bench and a buxom, yet svelte yoga chick stands nearby. Not much left to the imagination, it's blatant. But it's not 'pig tier raunchy'. That chick would look sexy doing most things, all with passive physicality. It's good, for what it is, and that's why I'm giving it a seven, but only on its own, with minimal comparisons to other works.

Fun ecchi with a decent story. Don’t expect complexity here. Not every anime needs to be deep to be enjoyable. It’s simple, cute, fun, silly, and a bit naughty. The characters are likable, and the absurd premise somehow works. The animation is solid throughout, with smooth pacing that makes all three episodes easy to watch. You can tell the production had a clear vision of what it wanted to deliver: light-hearted entertainment with lots of fanservice and a bit of comedy. I basically wrote this mini review because I saw it had a 5.5, which seems unfair, in my opinion. If you're looking for something fun, short, andunapologetically ecchi, this is worth your time. 7/10
