This is special ova Episode is a bonus chapter from volume 6 chapter 23.5 or 25.6 it's between Kyoto saga Episode 5 and 6 if you care about about manga order every one says it's a filler Episode which is wrong as this is part of the manga. The is really wholesome to watch sweet and sad if you love kuro then watch this of you don't like kuro then watch this and maybe you will love kuro. This is best watched after Episode 10 of Season 1 Episode 11 is filler and can be watched after either 10 or 11. Just know most ofthe Episode has filler because the bonus chapter run away kuro is so short like 5 minutes or so if they adapted it with out filler but the filler makes its much better. Animation 8/10 Music 10/10 Dub voice acting 10/10 Entertainment value 8/10 Overall 8/10

This short special has a special place in my heart. It brings more to the character of Kuro, and gives him a bit more depth. With this anime, I will always appreciate more character depth. Otherwise, it doesn't bring much more to the series as a whole. If you've seen the anime, it's worth watching. Otherwise, watching a special about the anime doesn't work very well. The art is a stunning as usual, the voices are perfect, and all together give a lot of enjoyment. Overall, I rate this a 9. Please, if you've seen the anime, give this small special a go. You can easilyjust skip it, but I suggest if you want to see more of Kuro, not skipping over this special.

Ao no Exorcist: Kuro no Iede (2011) As far as a special goes this is definitely up there in the best. After Kuro our favorite cat demon gets slighted by Rin and Yukio for different reasons Kuro storms off in a huff to find a new owner. After meeting a few people and not getting the treatment he wants since no one can understand him apart from a select few he finds himself looking for his old owner. We have an adventure of him finding his way to Shirou who is deceased. In the end we have a nice reunion and Kuro has his own revelationafter the misunderstanding is cleared up with a comical hug in its giant cat form. The art is the same as the main series. Sound also doesnt really differ we just hear Kuro's inner voice vs his meow. Kuro is developed nicely during this and you understand him better. He is a typical cat regardless of what he really is. The OVA is enjoyable and definetly worth a watch. Probably worth watching after the 1st 12 episodes as opposed to after season 1. Overall, it is a fun enjoyable episode with some good laughs.

Short review for this short special This episode-sized special doesn't really bring anything new to the table and theres no more backstory info on Kuro which I was expecting given the whole episode was foucused on him. Though, the short but sweet appearences from the many charcters in the main story and the simple plot makes this special very enjoyable (in special/OVA standards). The best part of Kuro no Iede is that it has the same amount of comedy and drama which Ao no Exorcist had until the last 4-5 episodes where it became an over-the-top overdramatic mess (just saying). The voice acting and the OPand ED were great as usual and the animation was up to typical 2011 standard (btw is a good thing). To sum it up, this short but sweet special is quite enjoyable and a treat for all Ao no Exorcist/Blue Exorcist fans.

Ok, so this one off special is all about Kuro running away co'z he can't stand Rin who is just teasing him because he's unable to eat his share of food co'z it's too hot for him to eat it and so begins his misadventures to search of someone who would be his new master and have a bite to eat at the same time. Well, at least in the first few moments he's just in search for a bite, later on, in search for a new master and then going to Shiro's grave and talking to his soul and finally, you've guessit- going back to Rin. This special doesn't follow the same genre as it's parent anime " Ao No Exorcist" anymore co'z it's all comedy with a bit of drama in the end, the thing about this special, is that it should have been integrated as one of the episodes of its parent anime instead of being a one off special of its own, so how do I rate it? I'll keep it short; Story- fair number 6. Co'z it is a spin off with it's own comedy genre, with a bit of drama. Art- mediocre number 5. You know why. Sound- good number 7. Since I like the first opening and ending theme being used. Character- fair number 6. Hey! This is all Kuro. Enjoyment and Overall- Good number 7. It's GOOD!
