This episode could have been an e-mail. Now don’t get me wrong, I like conclusions to stories, but it really feels like not much has happened in this special. Like sure, it’s cool to see Trunks getting his revenge on these troublemakers. Sure, it’s cool to see how he became so powerful he doesn’t even struggle beating them. But defeating the two androids in one move each and Cell with two moves just feels a bit *too* rushed. No eyecandy moves, no interesting choreography, just blink and you’ll miss it defeat. Which is fascinating because the issue with Dragon Bal lis usually that the fightstake way too long, but now we’re dealing with the other extreme. And honestly, making the defeat way too easy, like with literally zero struggle against what is the big bad of just the very recent arc really showcases the issues with powerscaling and how quickly previous threats just look almost meaningles when the new shiny thing is on its way. However I do like that the script doesn’t just handwave what happened to the world of Future Trunks and does go back to show it instead of simply moving on. Well, if you’re a Dragon Ball fan there’s no question, you’ll enjoy this. And even you wouldn’t call yourself that you’ll still be able to watch this with no issue without getting too irritated.

A great conclusion to Trunks' arc! This episode focuses on showing the events in Future Trunks' world and how he dealt with the threats that arose after the battle against Cell. The episode convincingly explores how he found the strength to move forward, even after so many losses and tragedies. Seeing the character mature and make crucial decisions to ensure the future of his world is one of the most rewarding parts. The sense of completeness that the episode brings is remarkable. It closes Trunks' arc very satisfactorily, addressing not only the external conflicts he faced, but also the internal ones, which were inevitable after everything thathappened in his timeline. The character's ending is completely closed, which is a rare feeling in many sagas, which sometimes leave loose ends or rushed resolutions. Here, Trunks has a conclusion worthy of his journey, and this makes the experience even more rewarding for fans of the series. I won't go into too much detail about the story to avoid spoilers for those who haven't watched it yet, but I can guarantee that this special is well worth watching. The plot fits organically into the original story, adding value to the saga's ending and providing a sense of closure for everyone involved. The episode adds an extra layer to the narrative, bringing more depth to Trunks' story and, at the same time, making the fan feel more connected to the character's destiny. Regarding my rating, I give it a 7. The episode was genuinely engaging and left me with a feeling of satisfaction at the end. It was a remarkable moment that served to tie up Trunks' story well and provide a well-crafted conclusion. The ending was, without a doubt, a gift for fans of the series, especially those who followed the character's development from the beginning.
