Accel World EX

This short addition to Accel World contributes little to the overall world, only serving as additional scenes for those still interested. The first one explores predecessors to Accel World resulting in some weird half-mech like states in the virtual realm. The second one takes place after the events of the series and serve as a bit of fan service as Mega Nebulous rests and takes a break at a spa, with expected results. If you liked Accel World, this is a fair addition. If you didn't, don't expect this to win you over. Animation: Consistent with the main series. Fairly good overall detail and colorization ruined bythe blob of the South Park main character. A bit of concentrated fan service in particular scenes in the second episode. Sound: Identical to the main series. This uses the second OP in the main series as well as the same BGM and VAs. Nothing particulary special here. Story: Pretty much explained the plot in the intro. Nothing is particularly drastic, though I found the first episode a bit far-fetched (sort of borrows the idea from SAO that being an ace in one game makes you really really good in another similar game, though I don't think good enough to beat a master at the other game). The second episode is more character-driven with some more character background and a lot of Fuuko Kurasaki. Character: There isn't any really huge development here. You find a bit of additional detail on fat blob's past but that's about it. Value: This was a fair watch but nothing spectacular. The first episode is more action based whereas the second is a relaxing break. For Accel World fans.

Accel world EX is what would happen if you took a 5/10 show and then made the main character a pig. Nothing about this was good or moving, it wasnt exciting, I would never recommend. I didn't like the actual anime and somehow this was worse, go watch a better show, go watch FAB or BGG or something worth your time. Also the art quality felt worse than the original somehow though im not sure the specifics TLDR its bad, but not bad enough to be funny _____________________________________________________ Why must i enter a longer review why this review summarizes everything well... Sound was okay and the characters are fine ifnot boring.

Pretty much just additional content for people who saw Accel World and wanted a little bit more content after it ended. Episode 1 is sort of forgettable, and doesn't add anything to the overall story. Episode 2, however, actually tells you more about Haru's past and how he became who he is today. The animation quality is pretty much on-par with the show, though episode 2 doesn't really have any high-action fights and is more relaxed. The soundtrack also retains the quality of the show, because it's just the same music. If you liked Accel World and want more, you should at least watch episode 2of this.

Yes, I'm talking about Accel World Ex, an anime that manages to be both convoluted and boring at the same time. Set in the same world as its predecessor, Accel World, this anime follows a new set of characters as they navigate a virtual reality game called Brain Burst. The game promises to grant players incredible powers, but at a steep cost. Unfortunately, the plot is so convoluted and poorly explained that it's hard to care about anything that happens. Thecharacters in Accel World Ex are equally unremarkable, with no real personality or development to speak of. It's as if the writers took a set of generic anime archetypes and slapped them together without any real thought. Well, isn't this just a bit of a snooze-fest with its lackluster plot and forgettable characters? It's almost enough to make me want to watching my friend build a Lego house instead.' Overall, I'd give Accel World Ex a score of 5.4/10.
