I found this movie randomly on Youtube and I started watching it out of curiosity. Story 7/10 Well it wasn't that great at first but it got better and better. I really liked how everything was building till the end. The story still wasn't that special and some parts were confusing because I haven't seen the original series. The end was touching though. Art 9/10 I thought that the animation was very good. I mean it looks like some old western cartoon but with an anime vibe. Backgrounds are much more detailed than the actual characters and I really like this style. Sound 8/10 I guess it was pretty good. Some voices were just plain average but there were a few voice actors whose voices I really liked. Music was ok but forgettable. Sound works and I have nothing to complain about. Characters 9/10 I liked almost all the characters. They were all well written. At first I thought that Doraemon looked pretty stupid but I started to like his design later. Of course there were a few characters that were very flat and boring but most of them very actually good, likeable and funny. Enjoyement 8/10 As I said earlier the beginning was pretty boring but from middle to the end it was just so epic and I really enjoyed it. It was funny at times and well there isn't much that I didn't enjoy. Overall I think this is a great movie and worth watching. You will like it for sure. It was much better than I expected. I give it 8/10

For a premise that didn't seem quite inviting, the movie surprisingly made great use out of it to produce a mystery-themed storyline while including the typical Doraemon style action scenes. There were a ton of fun moments that children would definitely enjoy, and the movie overall used all the gadgets that appear in the movie without it feeling forced. I particularly enjoyed the mystery aspect of it, and how the movie directoin subtly pointed us to possible hints and alibis in addition to the dialogue. The red herring was also a nice touch (also featuring a red fish for it), and the whole comicalidea of the "masked thief" Deluxe was illustrated comically too, which gave the whole movie an uplifting vibe. One of my favorite moments of the film also put Doraemon and Nobita's friendship on the spotlight, and this scene (and reprise) also served a great purpose on the whole motivation of the movie. The music in this movie was more enjoyable than other recent Doraemon films, featuring soundtracks that really fit the mystery theme well, and I enjoyed Perfume's ending theme too. If there are any drawbacks to this film, it would be some small details that didn't seem to be explained, like Doraemon's replacement cat ring changing shape throughout the film, or what exactly was Dr. Peppler's mistake at the end, or how he snuck into the museum to begin with. Although these didn't ruin the flow of the movie, I did wonder about it after the film ended. The production team was very adventurous in making a movie focusing on the gadgets you see in the Doraemon series, which risked causing confusion for those who aren't so familiar with the world-building or how some of these gadgets are supposed to work (e.g., Golgon's Head). But they managed to pull off a decent mystery film out of it that kept both the kids and their parents engaged.
