So this is another OVA of the famous title, huh? Mmm, cool, you probably think if you're a fan. Must be average, you rather think if you aren't. And I'd say yes, this is middling. But, it's a strong one. This episode tells us about Kuroko's beingness at the time of Teiko and how he managed to overcome his weaknesses. It also covers prehistory of Aomine's demeanor. On the plus side here — it's a long-awaited piece of the story, that makes it more interesting and clearer, with no apparent flaws. On the minus, it makes no advances as well: same art, same sound, and ofcourse the same OP-ED That's all, can't say more avoiding spoilers) But it's quite interesting, so this one is to check out for every fan of the series

It took me some time, but for the confused, here you go. This is episode 16.5 from the second season, a backstory episode that delves into the relationship between of Kuroko and Aomine, how they were and how they became. Aside from the drama and setup, it feels like a chill and very cute episode, showing the OG Generation of Miracles team, I believe, it's even the first time Akashi is shown to be active in a game. They all look very young and middle-school-esque for the first time, something that really bugged me whenever they would show a related backstory on the parent show.

(Check out my profile for a link to my site containing more up-to-date reviews and bonus media!) Don't be fooled by the cute picture of Riko and Momoi on the cover, this is not the fanservice special you were hoping for. Kuroko's Basketball: Can We Do That One More Time? (can I never type this again?) is a thorough companion piece to last season's Tip Off episode. Both are normal length additional episodes included with the season one and two home video releases, and both give more background on the Generation of Miracles. Instead of Kise, this time the episode is centered on Aomine which isinherently more interesting. Kise and Kuroko's relationship was never implied to be particularly important in the series, but Aomine and Kuroko's former friendship was referenced frequently although you never got to see much footage of that time. If you were interested, then now's your chance. On the other hand, an abridged version of these events would show up in a flashback episode in season three, so whichever one you watch first you're inevitably going to be annoyed by seeing some of the same exact scenes twice. Some of these scenes you may have seen even more than that by now (such as the scene where Kuroko puts a popsicle down Aomine's shirt). Though frustrating, there's no way around this unused footage because the original material in this special episode ultimately makes it worth watching. It's a more substantial elaboration on what is by far one of the show's most important character relationships, so it adds more to the general series plot than Tip Off does regardless of reused scenes. However, though it is more detailed and it's nice to actually see what most of the series only talks about, it won't actually give you any significant new facts on the plot or characters you won't get from the series. Just more of an appreciation for them at best. The animation quality and music selection is the same as the series. With the recommendation to any curious fans out of the way, the question remaining is when the best time is to watch this special. There isn't really a simple answer here. You can do it as soon as you're introduced to Aomine in order to get the most out of future Aomine scenes in it, or you can wait until the flashback arc in season three where this actually fits in the most smoothly chronologically since it's the same stretch of time. You also get to see how the special and series's unique scenes complete each other. In the special episode, Akashi thinks Kuroko may have a special talent, but it immediately cuts to him already using his unique passes rather than the series which goes into how he develops them. Overall, I'd say once you meet Aomine in the series then the earlier you watch this the more you can get from it, but decide what approach sounds better for you.

Kuroko no Basket Mou Ikkai Yarimasen ka Tetsuya Kuroko and Aomine Daiki is the best teamups for me. They are the true light and shadow. This extra episode show how the two met on their middle school. How Kuroko struggle to keep on playing basketball and how Aomine cheered him up to move forward. It will also show how Aomine changed because of the talents overpouring within him and how helpless Kuroko is at that point of time. Kuroko No Basket Anime Review By: Tadatoshi Fujimaki April 15, 2019 Overall: 10/10Plot: 10 Sports Anime genre have only one path to take, tournaments. Participating individually or by teaming up, it is the most common plot that exist. While this is not a unique one, it will be the author's capability how he manage to capture the interest of the viewer and excite them. This series focuses on students who love playing basketball. At first, I am really not interested on watching this anime. It is kind of absurd to think of a basketball story with extraordinary skills. But after trying it out, it made me realize that the plot of the story is great. I love the simplicity of it. The main reason of why the series moves forward and how it affects every branches of the story. Unrealistic as it may seem, the lesson is still there. The creator successfully stress out the core value when playing basketball. What also made me hook on this series is the directness of every plays all of the basketball teams have. Each play only last for an average of 5 to 6 episodes. Flashbacks are there but its only on a really minimum basis. You can enjoy watching all of the plays without so much cliffhanging and annoying side stories of the characters. Characters: 10 It is already a known that almost all of the characters on this series are super cool. It is the reason why most of the girl watched it, I think. Aside from that fact, the development of the characters can totally be seen along the story. The changes and realization they made make them more of a human. Though not skillfully speaking. Since there are so many characters, giving all of them the spotlight is hard. And that's whats amazing. The creator successfully introduce a past where most of the characters belong. That way, it won't be hard tackling each of the characters past and it gives the story more time in other scenarios that needs to be displayed. I love how the story never depend on the back story of the characters so much that it will take too much time to explain it. Sound and Animation: 10 Perfect. My phone is full of Kises' picture. Yes, every character is so handsome but it is not only this. The animation of the story is really great. Parts where the characters show dribbling, passing, shooting or even guarding their opponents is really detailed. I love how they show the movements of the characters playing on the court, as well as their expression depending on the feeling they have. Should I also mention the voices? Yes, theirs are really cool and perfectly matches the looks of the characters. Enjoyment: 10 I am not really a fan of basketball. I do not hate it, but I do not also like it. This is the first anime basketball which got me hooked. Due to so much enjoyment watching it, I've finished it in a more faster time than the other series I tried. Every episode will make you want more, more plays, more actions on the court, more characters to encounter with. It is really exciting, and fun to watch. Ending: 10 This is the best route to take for an ending on this series. The main goal of Kuroko has been met after winning the nationals with his team. But no, the story did not really move forward just because they had to win. It is because he had to bring back his loss previously. He had to bring back all of the people precious to him and he did. Fixing things that is broken and making them realize the most important thing when doing the thing they love. I am content with the ending of this series. It is simple, yet it will made you realize something important.

English. Without a doubt I love these types of episodes, they show us a different side of this boy's rivals, who they were and what happened to them to get to the point of who they are today. Here we see Aomine's point for me, one of the most interesting in the series and at the same time detestable, I always hated the way in which he didn't care about anything, but here they show what a good person he can be and was, they show us how they discovered the Kuroko's hidden talent and how he was used for the team, something interesting to discover inthe series, how someone from being a substitute became one of the starters. If you have the opportunity to see this episode, see it without a doubt, you will not regret it, as it will give you new information, and you will also have a great time seeing the beginning of our protagonist and the beginning of Aomine's decline.
