Diabolik Lovers OVA

Diabolik Lovers review. OOOOOH, HOOOO, Mr. Sadistic Night..... My Verdict for each of this OVA's category: Story: A Mediocre 5 Art: Poor 3Sound: Mediocre 5 Character: Dreadful 2 Enjoyment: Dreadful 2 Overall: Dreadful, dreadful and dreadfullllllllll 2. Ok, so what we have here can only be describe as the introduction of the Mukami's and the Tsukinami's for the upcoming season 2 of this dreaded anime. Already, what I can see were just the addition of other reverse harem members, that would further complicated Komori Yui's already hellish situation as the vampires' living blood bank, so far since the OVA was still connected to the 1st season's story (up), there is no point anymore of me giving this OVA a higher score than 5. Also, the Art (up) as usual them vamp assholes look like a bunch of homosexual old farts, both in fashion and in hairstyle. Sound(up).....well, there isn't much for me to say anything, since the ones who did the character's voices are still there, it's basically a mediocre. Character (up), they literally suck, as they are just good in sucking up the poor girl, and already I don't see any happy ending for the girl in the up coming season 2 and I also don't see any bad ending for them vampire asshole, like them Sakamakis', Mukamis' and the Tsukinamis' in the upcoming season 2, Enjoyment (up) I feel like going to Japan and give the writer of this dreadful anime/OVA a smack in his/her face (don't ya'll even get me started, putos). Overall (up) it sucks, sucks and suck, basically this OVA hasn't strayed away from its usual blood sucking porn.

For a 11min episode it's good. But to agree with me 1st you have to be a lil bit into -this- kind of sadist stuff. Sad thing about this anime is that main character Yui is boring af. Like... if they just putted a chair instead of Yui.. it would be the same. But anyway. This ova is a decent intro for season 2 Diabolik Lovers More,Blood. You get to take a taste of what new characters are like what you should expect for s2 and that's it. Story : is there any story? :D Art : It's really good actually. Sound : Is really good too. Character: Well every character has it's own beauties. EXCEPT YUI. booooooring *throws tomato* Enjoyiment : 8 . Well I didn't have anything more important to do. Was good. Overall : Good.

Alright again I return to the cesspool I can never escape from known as Diabolik Lovers. This series is like a blood sucking leech (hehe get it?) that I can never properly pull off. Here we return to our favorite characters in a short 11 minute OVA episode, I physically had to take a break halfway through, unfortunately that break was longer than the episode itself. This OVA isn't anything new, pretty boy vampires help sadists fulfill their fantasies while the dumbass protagonist helps masochists fulfill theirs. The OVA was mostly just the boys being boys and the return of the fairly uncomfortable blood sucking scenes.Art: The overall animation is definitely nothing special but the character designs are still really pretty and unique. Sound: Look the music and the voice actors in the main series where always great, arguably the best part of the show but I cannot take the sound design seriously when every time one of the guys bites Yui (it happens a lot) it sounds like they're biting into a very unripe apple. Characters: There isn't any character development or character moments in this OVA, which is understandable, that's fine. But even in the main series all of these characters are just 2D (both literally and metaphorically) assholes. Yui still does absolutely nothing and all of the boys still have little to no personality outside of being pretty sadists. Enjoyment: Do you enjoy being bitten by a blood sucking leech over and over again? Overall: I hate this series immensely but I keep coming back to it (also kanato didn't have enough screentime)

I'm not sure why I'm watching this anymore. I've always had this terrible urge where I can't stop myself from finishing series-- unfinished series leave me a bad taste in my mouth, even if it's just additional seasons. Good thing I've too lazy to start long anime. Regardless, I think this OVA was rather pointless, but then again, if you enjoyed the original show, then I think you should go ahead and watch this, because they are very, very similar. There is really no story line. It's just more guys lining up to drink Yui's blood and her letting it happen. Nothing else. Literally nothinghappens, not even kidding. I feel like at this point, I've had too many bad experiences with vampire franchises that I'm not sure if I can watch any more. The art, like always, is decent. The hair and eyes are pretty, some outfits are pretty good, others are tolerable, settings are gloomy but watchable. Nothing special, though. Some scenes weren't well thought out, however. For example, Shuu catches an apple thrown towards him from several meters away, but the art and sound affects make it seem like it was less than a few feet. Even if that's accounting to vampire strength, his hand was facing the opposite direction from where the apple was thrown. Negligence. The sound was nothing remarkable. The male voice actors did a good job, and as usual, Yui did nothing and said nothing. I believe she might have had one line, and after that, she might've just repeated "ayato-kun" and "no..." over and over again. The characters, as always, were pretty terrible. No development, no morals, no layers, no justified bad or justified good. Just animals going after Yui, their meat. I didn't really enjoy this. I kept on checking to see how much was left because I wouldn't bear watching it, really. But again, I can't stand leaving things unfinished, so I guess here I am. I would recommend this if: you are into anything under the bdsm umbrella, you like vampires and bloodplay, you like heroines who don't do anything, assault is okay to you, you liked the original series I would NOT recommend if: you didn't like the original series, you are big about consent, you like characters with personalities, you like plot, you want development, you were looking for a scary anime Have a nice day everyone!
