Please do not be fooled by my score! I really enjoyed this show! (My rating system is a little strange, especially for animated shorts.) This special starts off in charming fashion with a combined effort "irasshaimase" (welcome) from Wakaba, Moeko, and Mao, while Nao (glasses-kun) huddles in the corner. Hell yes, a maid cafe episode! When Moeko suggests that they all go somewhere during Golden Week, Wakaba informs her friends that she can get them a job at a maid cafe. But as it turns out, it's all a setup by Wakaba's exceedingly wealthy family--a cafe that they run for fun. What follows is ahilarious series of failures, surprise talents, and even a magical girl transformation. Wakaba's uncanny ineptitude to deliver a tray of waters, Mao's culinary prowess, and Nao's embarassing otaku display were the highlights of the episode, and frankly a great way to spend 8 minutes. The special is capped off in traditional Wakaba fashion as she and her family attempt to pay off friends and customers alike with ludicrous sums of money. Truly, an inspiration to ojousamas everywhere! Wakaba Girl is a great little series to watch if you are a fan of anime comedy and the moe genre as a whole. The only things that stop it from receiving top marks are the lack of strong underlying themes (it is pretty much a pure comedy) and its short duration, which make it difficult to build tension and set up epic scenes. But as a light-hearted comedy, Wakaba Girl excels.

this review will probably be short otherwise lets get into it. Story: so the OVA is pretty much that Nao wants to go somewhere (totally forgot what it was called) so they deiced that they will get part time job's to be able to pay for it and they end up working at a maid cafe to pay for the trip. Art: the art is basically the same as the anime it really good and the backgrounds are good as well. Sound: the Op is here and again it is really good No ED though so again cant speak on it as for the VA's they all returnand are good here as well. Character: Wakaba is one of the 4 main characters and well she is a rich girl but doesn't seem like one she often doesn't really know much about stuff at all cause of there family moving so much otherwise she has a pretty nice and cute personality she also tends to try and give the all the girls money. Moeko is another female lead and well he has a pretty up and cheerful personality always not wanting to take money from Wakaba when she offers it (like the other girls) all i can really say about her. Nao is another main and well she is always up beat when it comes to the Wakaba not wanting to take the money when Wakaba offers it and well her personality she is pretty nice and i guess kinda tense sometimes (no idea how to describe her the best to be honest). Mao is the last main and well she does like to kinda cause some mischief with just saying stuff the makes Nao bonk her one the head but again like the others she has a nice and cute personality. (just copied it from my review sense they basically act the same). Enjoyment: Things that i liked: the comedy was still kinda her and that all the characters are here helps and also that again it was enjoyable to a extent. Things that i didn't like: i mean the comedy was here kinda but more towards the end of it otherwise that really my only complaint well and maybe that the OVA wasn't a long episode. Overall: id give this a 6 the comedy is there and its also enjoyable to a extent id but the characters all return here which is good id watch the OVA if you guys wanna watch it but i would.
