Rance 01: Hikari wo Motomete The Animation - Leazas no Yami

Rance is one of my favorite hentai with slight dark undertones mixing in with the comedic and light overall feel to the show leading to a balanced viewing experience. However if you are a hentai addicted freak like me, you may have felt like it was missing that signature hentai edge that we all crave which makes us question our morals. If that describes you then Leazas no Yami is the perfect OVA to round out your Rance watching experience. This short 4 minute side story will fill all your monster rape fetishes that was just missing from the vanilla that Rance provided. Story : 7 Thereisn't much story on it's own as Leazas no Yami is some extra content we get concerning the tortured ghost that Rance meets on his journey. It depicts her torture in a pretty short scene but gets a good score as it adds some more depth into the overall story arc of Rance 01. Art : 8 In this small scene, there was not much artwork showcased but since it relied heavily on the main show to flesh out these characters the art in this special helps to convey the darker side of the princess that we didn't fully witness in the main show. This special also helped display the range of characters the artist could draw from tiny rape goblins that looked extremely invasive in their acts on Leaza to giant gorilla rapists who's dick threatened to rip her apart as the show didn't really include that many fantastical rape creatures. Sound : 7 Average sound quality but screams of pain leave a little to be desired. Doesn't take much away from the horrendous acts taking place on your screen so it receives an average score from me Characters : 8 This episode is best watched in between episode 3 and 4 of the main series as it fulfills an important role in establishing the princess character which we do not see much of until the last episodes. We become more invested in Leazas and the atrocities committed upon her as we get hints of what happens in the dungeon in the main series but to see it played out infront of us makes us connect with her on a deeper level compared to glimpses we got in the main show. Furthermore we were able to see how evil the princess really was as she seemed much less twisted in the main show and although this special shifts tones quite heavily from the main series it should be included in a person's watch through as it adds so much more to character development and motivations. I believe this special is an important part of the Rance series, providing us with a darker view of the show compared to its overtly light tones. We get great character backstory, motivations and development in such a short contained story that adds so much with so little to our main story. Although containing extremely gruesome imagery, it is quite necessary in making Rance 01 such a good watch which makes the twisted feeling in your stomach, as semen shoots from the vagina out the mouth, so much more earned and necessary unlike many hentai. This 4 minute clip should just be included in your fap of episode 3 if you can get off to it
