Wow, super underrated. These (ONA?s) were FANTASTIC. Dialogue heavy with a very bitter-sweet tone and jam-packed full of character development. This review will be short but sweet, just like the 17 minutes in this OVA/ONA/Shorts contains 2 compact, enclosed stories. Short1 was used to develop Favaros relationship with his mother and give you more perspective on Favaros emotions in the aftermath of S1. Short2 is used to delve more into Jeanne's (The Saint, white knight woman) character. Both of which were greatly appreciated and helped set up the characters ambitions for S2. The art was nice (maybe even better than from S1)I thoroughly enjoyed these ONAs, If you love dialogue heavy character growth but skipped over these ONA heading into the new season, I 100% recommend watching them.

usually when i watch special episodes of animes they are really bad, with no story and awful animation. This is clearly not the case here, they put a lot of effort making these special episodes. Theses short stories are a sequel to the anime where the main protagonists are showcased, also a new background character is revealed. The animation is as good as in the anime, and there are some important revelations about the characters which add a nice touch to the series. It really adds something to the main anime. It even has some light action scenes. If you enjoyed Bahamut : genesis, consider watching theseshort. It feels like two long post-credit scenes, and they are really enjoyable. Actually these two episodes could be put at the end of the main series.

I definitely recommend that you watch these 2 after season 1, to help wrap up the story a bit better. We pick back up from the ending of season 1 with mixed feelings. It manages to bring back some of the good vibes which we had at the start of season 1 by playing into the show's strengths and the characters. Which I truly loved about this show. But it doesn't quite hit the same quality as the start of season 1. Overall the first episode is a bitter sweet episode that brings back some of that early episode feeling and wraps up the story a bitmore and ties up some loose ends. The second episode, does pretty much the same but it's a bit "less" The following aren't really spoilers but two questions still kind of left over for me (aside from more major plot holes from season 1)" How'd favaro get back the band though? did he take it off Kaiser's arm? and Also what Happened to Jeanne's Sword that turned evil after she turned good again. Of course there are many more holes in the middle and ending of season 1, but not in particular ones that you feel like asking in these little short stories. The animation was similar to the start of season 1 as well, so really good especially in comparison to some of the art in the middle and end of season 1, which was not always as good.
