3-gatsu no Lion: Ugoku! Nya Shogi

This was surely, no matter the point of view, a surprisingly original and clever way of trying to teach the viewers a little bit of shogi, specially for kids and teens. Story, art and characters. Notice that it’s a hard work to adapt something as complex as shogi. And, on top of that, the chances are this game was completely unknown to most of the viewers outside Japan. Even so, they managed to create something fun and simple to understand. Sounds. As well as the artwork, the music was cleverly produced aiming the easiest and more enjoyable experience. Enjoyment and Overall. Not putting aside my appreciation forthis work, i must admit that the 10 episodes long series could have been dull to those with no interest for shogi or learning it, and meaningless if you already knew the game. Regardless the main reason for watching it, the creativity put into action to make this happen was inspiring!
