This anime is about an adult falling in love with a minor. The art style is very cute and the characters are unique, I'll give it that, but every other aspect of this anime gave me a headache. I was way too pissed about someone in their early to mid 20s falling in love with a 16 year old to even remotely enjoy anything outside of the art. There isn't that much of a story anyway. This whole thing is about a cat boy living with someone that's way too old to be in love with him. Please don't support pedophilia. It's extremely wrong anddisgusting. Go find some other romance anime.

I reccomend you watch both series. This and its sequal series is a happy show for happy people. Simple as that. You can't possibly miss the allegory here. But I think you need both series to get the full effect. It's like a family friendly, all ages hand out from the Center. Something to help your toddler understand you and your friend. Or maybe for you and your friend after a session of pet names and baby talk. It's sad some need to bring up issues. Reminds me of the joke about two guys kissing one of them jumping up and yelling "No Homo!"... or was thata joke? Pardon me... cuddle time for me and my cat boy. :-) Chiao Miao

I watched this series twice. the first time, i remember watching it but kind of half assed and i dropped it because something felt off to me. 2 years later, and i decided to rewatch it. i liked the first few episodes, and then i remembered what felt off. the main character is very very clearly a full grown adult, and miao is 16? and this is romance? he doesn't even seem that bothered by the fact either. it feels really weird to me, i would rather watch another anime that doesn't include a weird relationship between a caretaker and a kid.

A cute and funny anime. About a mangaka Da Shu who gets a cat-eared boy Miao as a roommate. 12 episodes in total. Each is around 3 minutes. It just focuses on their day to day life. Miao acts like a typical cat. Cute. Uncontrollable. Sleeps. Knocks things over. Da Shu tries to keep Miao out of trouble and keep his cat ears a secret. The art style is very handdrawny, paint brush animation. Very simple mostly white backgrounds. I appreciate the simplicity. This is an iyashikei. Its a feel good anime that is meant to make you feel good and stress-free. Its tagged as "Boys Love". But although it depicts two guys in a "relationship" its neither romantic nor sexual. Its a guy and his anthropomorphic pet cat. ( but then again I'm no expert on what the exact definition of Boys Love and Shounen Ai is supposed to be anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) If you want to watch something that will make you smile and go "awww thats so cute" then watch this.
