Asatir: Mirai no Mukashi Banashi

Future Folktales is set in the future where VR, flying cars, and household robots are a normality. It introduces us to a family in which a grandmother retells her 3 grandchildren Arabian stories and in doing so teaches them life lessons. Honestly, the fact that its a Japanese anime set in the middle east is still so cool to me. We never seem to get to see middle eastern stories or people in anime often, so its a great change of pace! I know the audience here is supposed to be more toward children but I found myself really enjoying every lesson they offered. Especially the oneon kindness. "Kindness isn't a weakness, even if others see it as such and try to use it against you." That's one that I wish I would have learned a long time ago instead of being a jaded so and so. XD Its an entertaining and educational anime for children and adults alike! And you never leave an episode empty handed. <3
