i would say the first season was very enjoyable breaking the fourth wall in very subtle ways was something that hooked me to the anime in the first place. That was gone in second season, after that it was just a power fentasy with overpowered mc with plot armor. The art was great the sound/ost were also good but the story just fell down the drain. With no certain direction for the show it just became an overall shitshow if i may say. It just feels like a bad copy of the disastrous life of saiki k. Which btw if you haven't watched is similar concept withbetter execution. thats all i have to say since it first time for me to be writing a review. english is not my first language so im sorry if i offend anyone with my spellings or grammer... cheers, have a great day,God bless.

Story : 6/10 Honestly, it's just like the same old op mc fantasy anime. I'm not saying it's boring, but thanks to the skit or the running gag from eps 1-12 that makes it more enjoyable and funny (more like a small "haha" laugh). One particular episode that pique my interest, the whole concept of that particular episode is so meta and very different than other anime. Art : 7/10 The design is simple, not boring to look at. Even though it kinda ruined because of the "small fry" CGI, other than that, the design is simple and fun to look at. N.P : Thanksto this anime, we have a lot of waifu material here. Sound : 6/10 Since I like fantasy-ish story (magic and stuff), it's below my expectation especially after watching the big isekai (Mushoku Tensei, Tensura, etc.) Character : 6/10 Since it's not fully comedy anime, I was expecting some character development like what they did in season 1. A bit disappointed. Why ? Without the side character and the heroine, MC is really boring. The character interaction is so boring and simple but for some reason they make the side characters interaction is more enjoyable than the MC with other side character(s). Enjoyment : 7/10 Pro : 1. Good magic fight 2. Good side character(s) interaction with each other or with the MC. 3. The comedy aspect gave you a good small "haha" Cons : 1. The MC is really boring, definitely the quality drop from season 1 2. Sound from this anime also disappointing even though it's magic-ish anime 3. The story is kinda bland, typical op mc. Conclusion/Overall : I hope they improve the quality of this anime in season 3. Especially the sound and the MC itself.

The Daily Life of an Immortal King 2 recap Wang Ling is back again for more episodic gag comedy. After a climactic last season, we are back to normal with varying challenging scenarios befall Wang Ling and Su Rong as they power through the top. Opponents ranging from interdimensional monsters, imprisoned villains, political families arranging marriages and many more discover the power of Wang Ling's unintentional wrath. Will this season be filled with the classic Wang Ling style or will it all fall apart? Story & Characters: 6/10 This season's story is as episodic as ever with different smaller scenarios filling up the screen time. There are alot of aspects that the Daily Life of the Immortal King tries to manipulate in order to be fun to watch and engaging like focusing on side character backgrounds in the case of Su Rong's families financial troubles or Sister Lin's part time job and spirit sword. However, many of these scenarios don't add value to the characters since they are discarded as soon as the episode finishes and we rarely see characters like Sister Lin in the later episodes. This series has a large amount of characters with more introduced in season 2 and many of them stay on screen but they feel a lot more superficially developed like Sister Lin or even Wang Ling who is ignored until a situation gets serious - This leads to unnecessary drag of each episode. I didn't find it as engaging as the first season and Wang Ling's team & antagonists were much more manageable. This season's ending felt really anticlimactic and cliché to every other save the world from invasion style series. (Also if you haven't realized by now, this is a gag series (or is becoming one) mimicking features from Mob Psycho, One Punch Man, Saiki K, Dragon Ball Z, Assassin's Creed etc. it seems a lot of people have missed that) Art & Sound: 5/10 The art and animation has been the series weakness, most screen time consists of minimal movement and reused frames. The colors and details offset the lack of movement since they are of great quality; When it comes to action, the animation is a lot more visually appealing. However, my expectations dropped when the studio purposefully chose CGI to 'break the 4th wall'. CGI takes a lot of effort to set up correctly and we can see there didn't seem to be much effort in the quality of Su Rong and Wang Ling's character design for CGI. It felt clunky and distracting from the scene because they didn't suit the setting. The sound was average, the female voice actors felt needlessly high pitched for young adults. The music choice was average most of the time and could switch from happy to suspenseful when an enemy approaches. There wasn't an iconic theme used so it was hard to add emotional appeal to scenes that needed it. Overall & Enjoyment: 6/10 This season definitely felt lower quality in all aspects; With the new season around the corner I am not as excited as I'd hope to be. It would be a lot more interesting to have episodic situations that add to existing characters like Chen Chao or fatty instead of introducing new characters and focusing on them temporarily until they aren't needed (goes for some villains as well). Season 1 did a great job of this by focusing on Wang Ling's team a lot more while this season attempted to be more ambitious and explore the extension of its world.

A rare instance where the show get's better in the second season. I think that the story got a little stale this season and there wasn't much in terms of character development. That's the big downside over season 1, the freshness. Other than that the animation is much more consistent across the board, and is up to industry standard. However, it seems like this may have come at the cost of having one huge flashy scene like in season 1. The OP/ED go hard, even if the soundtrack is almost identical to season 1. New girl VA suck, but otherwise the VA is still kindof alright, aka decent for a dub. Overall, a better more finely tuned anime, but still clunky like most anime. 6.40/10 dubbed

1st season was pretty good, I loved it. With the second season, it felt way too filler-esque. I understand it is an anime not heavily driven by plot, but in season 1 I could appreciate what plot there was. The plot for season 2 is underutilized and not really there. There were some really funny jokes and 4th wall breaks, but due to the fact that it felt like such a drop-off from season one, I could not rate it higher than a 6. The art was really good, just like the first season of the show. I really appreciated the visuals because they feltvery enjoyable. The music was average. Not much, if anything, changed from season one, so I wouldn't say it's fantastic, but I would not say it was bad either. Also not enough Frog Dog (tbf, there will never be enough frog dog)!
