100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru 2nd Season

This season managed to maintain, and even slightly improve, the quality of the previous one. This anime keeps getting better as the story progresses, which is definitely a plus. On the other hand, it seems like there won’t be a third season, which is disappointing. However, there’s still a small glimmer of hope—I’ve heard that the adaptation isn’t very faithful to the manga (though I still thought the anime was amazing). Because of that, there’s a chance it could get a remake in the future, which I would absolutely love. If you enjoyed the anime, I strongly recommend reading the manga, as it’s said to be muchbetter. Or at least, that’s what the so-called "experts" on this anime claim… though there aren’t many of them, to be honest. Lastly, I think this anime is somewhat underrated, so I really hope it gets a remake someday that brings out its full potential and gives it the recognition it deserves.

This second section is more complicated than the first season, because this arc is very bad... This anime has all to be good, but for me, lack something... Perhaps I'm being very critic about, or only thinking so much about this, but the protagonist is most useful and it's hated others characters and this let me a bit angry. The animation is bad too. The same than the first season, but, improved some points as consistency. In general, this is because I scored the anime as 2, and the arc that doesn't pleasant for me. If you liked of first season, this is for you,but if you are waiting improving from first season to second season, you will waste time.

There might be some spoilers in this review (so go watch the anime ^^) Overall :7 7 is a good score and I think it deserves a better score than the last season (which I gave a 6), It was much more entertaining and I still don't know why. Story : 7 The story is like I said in my previous review pretty simple for the Isekai genre and doesn't innove that much but in this second season there are some things that start to appear. There is that psychological side with the fact that they have to complete quests in order to save their lives but alsothe people of this other world are getting attached to the heros and we can see it very well and very emotionnaly with Kahabell and Yuusuke's romance. Also the fact there is a timeskip between the quests makes the anime better, because they go to the same world each time but it is different because some of the characters that they met before aren't part of this world anymore and it creates a feeling of not being part of this world. This feeling contrasts well with the attachment that the inhabitants of this world have to the heros and vice versa. All of that to say that it has become better with this season and I hope a season 3 coming soon to end this show which was surprisingly better than I imagined. Art : 7 The art is still the same as the previous season and it isn't good nor a bad thing because it does its job pretty well. The thing that can be reproached to this animation is that fight scenes could have been better animated or just a bit longer. The character designs are pretty simple but very good. One other thing that I found disturbing was the fact that Torii and Gwen looked alike too much and sometimes I just confound them. Sound : 8 One of the major source of improvement between the first and the second season is obviously the music part. The opening is absolutely great and as it comes from an unpopular show, it remained pretty unpopular. The ending is also great to finish an episode, it brings something else from other ending that are very plain if you listen too much to them. To finish, the best part of all that is the OSTs that are very good. Just the Ost of Kahabell's kiss with Yuusuke was very good. Also, the insert song of the island arc was well inserted in the moment and well used and it made me feel very emotional. Characters : 6 As the first season, I found the three first girls uninteresting and they feel very annoying. The new additions which are Torii and Gwen are somehow good. Torii is a boy that lived his life with his younger brother and wants to do everything to protect him, so he worked with persons of bad intentions in order to protect his brother and to survive. This character is very good and add an other male character to the roster. Gwen is lacking of personality for now but I know and I HOPE that they will do something with her backstory, because for what we saw briefly, it was kind of good. Overall the characters are lacking of personalities and involvment. But there is like the season 1, for me, the one that compensate the lack of personalities of the other characters. This person is obviously the MC. I might be a little biased on that one but I really like this character because he feels real to me, and very natural. I still can remember the end quote that gave me chills at the end of the season. Very good character. Enjoyment : 7 At the end, I found it very entertaining to watch. The first arc of the Island was for me better. But the second arc was good too. In the end, I hope they will do a season 3 whereas the popularity of this anime isn't that high. Also I recommend to anyone to watch it.
