Uncle from Another World
異世界おじさん
After a fatal encounter with a truck, Takafumi Takaoka's uncle, Yousuke "Ojisan" Shibazaki, lies comatose for 17 years. When he finally regains consciousness, Ojisan begins to ramble in a foreign tongue and reveals that he had been transported to a magical world called Gran Bahamal. Takafumi dismisses his uncle's claims as nonsense until an incantation makes a cup of water hover in the air. In a flash of brilliance, the pair creates a YouTube channel to showcase Ojisan's magical abilities. The responsibility now falls on Takafumi's shoulders to acquaint Ojisan with everything that has transpired during his absence, including getting him up to speed with the internet, new technology, and surprisingly, the outcome of the '90s console war—the result of which was especially distressing for a hardcore SEGA fan. With Ojisan's wisdom from his other world experiences, they grow their YouTube channel and tackle online comments and trolls. The journey of this uncle-nephew duo promises to be anything but conventional. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This is a story about an uncle who comes from another world according to the title. Reminding those who want to watch this anime, don't take the isekai in this story too seriously. Although there are tsundere characters, isekai characters, isekai powers, unique abilities, because some story is filled with humor. I like this kind of story because it is very entertaining and makes me laugh. I really enjoy it from the beginning to the end of the episode filled with funny stories, funny dialogues, funny characters. Main characters Ojisan and Takafumi managed to make me very entertained in every episode. some unexpected plots also make thestory even better. Other characters like Fujimiya, Elf, Mabel, Alicia and her party also help the story become more interesting and of course there are many funny things. Musics, OP / ED are also good. Overall, highly recommended for people looking for entertainment, laughter, and funny stories.

This anime is a great combination of comedy, fantasy, and ecchi genres. It has a lot of funny and fanservice scenes that will make you laugh out loud. The interactions between Takafumi and his uncle are amusing and entertaining. The uncle is a diehard SEGA fan who uses his gaming skills to fight in the other world, but he is also clueless about modern technology and culture. Takafumi is a normal guy who is interested in his uncle’s adventure and the girls he met in the other world, but he also has to deal with his own problems and feelings. The characters are all charming andunique, each with their own personality and backstory. The animation is colorful and smooth, and the voice acting is superb. The opening and ending songs are catchy and fit the mood of the show. I recommend this anime to anyone who likes isekai and ecchi genres. It is a fun and entertaining anime that will make you feel good and amazed by the power of uncle. If you are looking for a light-hearted and thrilling anime with a lot of humor and magic, you should definitely watch Uncle from Another World

Isekai has been a scourge on the anime landscape for some time now and sadly shows no signs of slowing down. I'm not a fan, as you can tell, as for me, in 90%+ of cases if the story was just a normal fantasy world without the intruder from another world, it would be better for it. Not to mention that so much of this crap gets made that it all just melds into this homogenous blob of off-brand European fantasy, generic protagonists and proposterous titles. So hearing that Isekai Ojisan exists as a comedy series that turns the genre on its head and doessomething completely different? Now you have my attention. So the premise is that Ojisan here gets put into a come and isekai'd to a fantasy world where he goes on some wacky adventures. However, he eventually wakes up from his coma and gets un-isekai'd. Because so much time has passed, he now has to get used to the changed world he finds himself in. And if that wasn't wacky enough, he actually gets to keep all the magical powers he obtained in the other world! And thus, shenanigans ensue. To put it shortly, this series is absolutely hilarious. My sides have hurt from laughing almost every episode. Whether parodying isekai tropes, fantasy tropes or just shoving in absolutely absurd jokes, the whole series just kept catching me off guard time and time again. The titular Ojisan is also voised by Takehito Koyasu, so if you ever wanted to hear Dio Brando talk about being a YouTuber and rant about obscure Sega games, now you can! Also, Ojisan's chemistry with all the characters in both worlds is very unique and never fails to deliver on quality comedy. The fact that he is denser than granite, socially inept and also very out of touch are played to great effect and never fail to amuse me. One thing I want to warn you is just to set your expectations accordingly. At times, you might be led to believe that there is some grand overarching plot with high stakes, hidden romance and ulterior motives at play. But there isn't and you thinking that is the point. Everything in this anime builds to the punchline of a joke, so don't go in expecting deep storytelling or some poignant statement on the current state of anime. Isekai Ojisan is here with one purpose and one purpose only - to make you laugh and it will, in my opinion at least, succeed greatly at that. Give it a watch, you won't regret it!

In a nutshell, Isekai Ojisan is mid. Is it good? Comedically, yes, it is. Is it good beyond that? No, its mid. I've seen praises like " As good as Konosuba or even better". Just no, get off the pipe. I've seen people say the same thing about trash anime like Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu. Everyone wants the next Konosuba, I get it, but no isekai has even come remotely close to dethroning it, comedically speaking. Did I enjoy Isekai Ojisan, yes, but like so many other isekai lately, it goes nowhere, it has zerostakes. There are no baddies, it's just story telling for 13 episodes, okay cool, when did anime become so absent of basic plotline that adventure anime should have, like Konosuba has, like Slime has, like Re Zero has. The powerhouses of this genre are on top because they actually have basic story lines that drive the show forward. Isekai Ojisan would be so much better if it just gave us something to care about. By the end, we were just going through the motions to finish it and be done with it. That's bad story telling. Animation 8/10 - Unique to a degree, and beautifully drawn at times, with no CGI I believe? If so, very hard to notice. Mabel scenes were peak. Sound 7/10 - Decent OP, forgettable ED, with good voice acting. Story 5/10 - Beyond episodic storytelling, there is no plot. It's an uncle watching TV of his past with his nephew and the nephews' friend for 13 episodes. Characters 8/10 - Really enjoyable characters through and through, but without something at stake, Mabel, Sui, and Uncle are wasted IMO. Enjoyment 7/10 - Enjoyed the comedy, but the series as a whole fell flat due to a lack of any story development. At the end of the day, the series gets a pass, and will likely be enjoyable to a wide swath of people. If you want more than comedy through, you might be disappointed.

Isekai Ojisan Do you like or dislike Isekai? Are you a fan of comedies? Do you want to laugh at nonsensical and stupid jokes? Are you partially familiar with Sega? Then this anime is exactly what you have been looking for. This anime is immensely simple but manages to convince with its straightforward humor and insanely stupid scenes. Although I was skeptical at first, this anime proved me wrong. Of course, it should be said that this is entirely comedy, there is no development or story. Each episode consists of 2 different stories of Uncle, which he can project through his memory television. In this wayhe shows the other 2 protagonists', stories from the Isekai world, leaving the 3 of them to act merely as commentators. What makes the whole thing however amusing, is that his experiences have been simply bizarre and questionable. Of course, if you don't have or don't want anything to do with comedies, misunderstandings, or silly humor, you shouldn't watch this anime. [Story 2] The protagonist was in a coma for a decade and finally woke up, only for the rest of his relatives to realize that he had been in an isekai world. Since Uncle Dio could keep his abilities, he was able to use them from then on to launch an unsuccessful YouTube career. With his nephew and his nephew's best friend, they spent their daily lives watching scenes from his past. With the blinding desire to know what Uncle Dio experienced in his world after Jotaro had Isekaid him. But the expectations were completely shattered since his adventure is about the opposite of what could be expected to be heroic or proud. This is all that happens in the anime, however, it was also exactly what was needed. [Characters 6] At first, I expected a pseudo neet comedy, which made me especially worried about the protagonist. However, once again I was wrong. The protagonist Oujisan (his real name is revealed in episode 12), is a relatively average loser who exists beyond all social values. He plays games 24/7, breathing only video games and manga. However, due to his lack of social skills, he doesn't have much of a problem talking to people unless it comes to a debate. His biggest weakness, however, is being human. Since he doesn't understand most human standards, he is a walking misunderstanding. In our world, he would end up as a sex offender. But it is these ongoing misunderstandings that make Dio Brando so amusing. Sumika and Takafumi can practically be grouped as they both have relatively similar personalities and are just commentators. They are the ones who watch his memory films and comment on corresponding events and happenings with their terrific expertise. They are not too great characters for a comedy, however, they work very well for this setting. Elf, Alicia, and Mable are the 3 girls Oujisan met in the new world. Of course, all 3 based on misunderstandings to expand his harem. Honestly, even though they are practically empty shells, they had massive comedy potential, especially Mable. The elf was the typical Tsundere, but a more positive one. Alicia is a puppy and thus the typical naive character (who was comically treated like a puppy). And Mable is practically one of the funniest female comedy characters I've seen. Her logic, self-preservation instincts, and actions have just been delightfully amusing. This is the kind of person you would only want to have in your circle of friends to make you feel better about yourself. [Animations 5 / Music 6] The animations offer massively little variety and are mostly limited to just one room. And even there, they are average. There is a decent fight scene every 2 episodes that don't look bad, but these are only scattered moments of glamour. The intro, outro, and especially soundtracks were relatively decent. For a comedy, I expected less. [Conclusion 7] Oujisan is a comedy that is not to everyone's taste, which is hard to do when it comes to humor. However, if it is something that appeals to you personally, then it should be given a chance. Undoubtedly one of the better comedies you can find, but requires an average knowledge of old-school, Sega, and Isekai. Even though the amount of fan service was overkill for me at times, I'm glad to have watched the anime. [Enjoyment 7]
