Witchy Pretty Cure!! Mirai Days
魔法つかいプリキュア!!~MIRAI DAYS~
Mirai Asahina, a very curious 13-year-old girl with a love for mysterious things, met a young witch named Liko during spring break. Led by miracles and magic, Mirai and Liko both transformed into the Legendary Witch "Precures"! Working together with Mirai's treasured teddy bear Mofurun and Ha-chan, a fairy born from the "Linkle Smartbook", they tried to repel the chaos that was encroaching upon the "Magic World" and "Magicless World (Human World)". However, that involved the separation of everyone. After being miraculously reunited a few years later, Mirai and the others begin to take steps towards their futures in their respective worlds . Mirai is a college student in the Magicless World. Liko, who returned to the Magic World, is a teacher at the Magic School. Mofurun, as always, is at Mirai's side. Ha-chan exists far away, watching over the world. However, a new disaster threatening the Magic and Magicless worlds has appeared... Due to signs of the coming disaster, Mirai and Liko reunite for the first time in months. While attempting to resist this mysterious enemy, they both come face to face with not only their past, but their future. With the magical words "Cure Up RaPaPa!", their exciting tale is once again set into motion! (Source: Crunchyroll)

The second attempt to portray the adult life problems of the girls we know from their past as legendary Mahou Tsukai Precure warriors. This time, different from Otona Precure, the focus was more on the plot and characters presented. It was a very good idea to use time as a theme, as the series not only provides us with the pleasure of seeing heroines from the Mahou Tsukai Precure we already know: Mirai, Riko and Hanami, but also allows us to lean into some important issues, such as the essence of time, the transience of human life or pondering the fate that awaits usin the future. Unfortunately, the small size of the series (it has only 12 episodes) made it impossible to develop each of the themes explored. Personally, I highly encourage you to watch Mahou Tsukai Precure first (season one), because without doing so you won't be able to catch all the references that appear in this anime. The friendship between Mirai and Riko is also consistently shown in this series. Their relationship despite the passage of years and the long separation (Riko can't visit Mirai as often as she would like, due to her duties at the school of magic). In this series, their friendship is still the most important feeling. I am very glad that a romantic theme was not introduced in this anime, as it would have ruined the whole series . So this anime tries to show a different kind of life path that women can choose (they don't have to get married). This is extremely important, as it provides a clear feminist theme to the series, as well as its undeniable value for me. The plot initially unfolds quite quickly. We are even overwhelmed by the amount of information, in addition, new characters also appear, the mysterious appropriation of Mother Rapapa's power and the locking of people in their happy past by Ire (the antagonist) are a mystery to us for quite a long time. In my opinion, the themes raised could have been used even better in the last episode, but I highly recommend getting acquainted with the series, as it is well worth it.

It's not bad, it's just...not good. I haven't watched every single precure entry, but I have watched at least 5 and let me tell you, Mahoutsukai is my absolute favorite and among the top league of my favorite anime of all time. So, I had some pretty high hopes for this when it was first announced. After I found out about the episode count though, I became cautious. Then I saw the PVs and legitimately became concerned. Finally all the weeks have passed, I managed to completely avoid spoilers and so came into Mirai Days with a fresh and empty mind that had not been influenced byother opinions. I finally binged it... Hisui sucks so bad oh my god she was so damn annoying. Legitimately what were they thinking giving Mirai and Liko another pseudo daughter that is actually more like a realistic child? There's just so many moments where Hi-chan is being such a shithead brat. It really didn't help that within the show they constantly compared her to Ha-chan, their first pseudo daughter who wasn't absolutely insufferable. She gets a little bit better, like a tiny bit, but not enough to make me actually enjoy her existence. The story is also just like...ok. I can't get too deep into it because every detail is pure spoilers. Uhh, the main villain was boring but at least not as annoying as Hi-chan. If you enjoyed the main series it's better to stay away unless you very specifically want to see the short cute shipping moments between Mirai and Liko.
