The Little Master's Better Life is a fun Chinese anime. The young master Ba Wu Wang is the super powerful leader of the Bear Hug Tribe. But whenever a tribe starts to get too strong the Star Lady sends down a "blessing": a monster from the sky to destroy that tribe. During his trial to become chief, his village is attacked by such a monster. Despite the monster eventually being defeated it came at a great loss. So begins Ba's journey to unite the different tribes to challenge the Star Lady. The characters are all fun and well written. Very likeable. The comedy is funny. One thing Chinese anime have above Japanese anime is that the fights are way better choreographed. The characters do actual martial arts and sword fighting during action scenes.

Incredibly fascinating. This donghua is set in a fantasy world of power cultivation. The order of this world is decided by power. Power which is gained by making mental breakthroughs in understanding of one's self and the universe. There is many different schools and each uses different powers. The anime follows a young heir of a Norse-like tribe in the north who belongs to the school of "Star Lady" and he suffers from a mysterious illness that prevents him from having physical contact with any woman. This is a very major problem for the heir, as he isn't able to produce heirs of his own.It is a major plot point, but it's mostly used a comical relief especially since the main character is very attractive and the ladies love him. The story itself is a bit hard to follow as I feel like the adaptation of the novels, which I haven't read, is rushed. There is so much to digest every episode and you are constantly being presented with new characters, deities, factions, conspiracies and principles of this fantasy world. You're just dropped in the middle of it with no explanation and are in for a hell of a ride. It's possible to keep up though if you just pause every now and then to take it all in. Genre-wise it's mostly an adventure with the main character travelling to find a cure to his illness. There is plenty of drama, action and comedy, and even a tearjerker at one point. It doesn't stop being fun to watch. Animation and music are above average. To me this anime is just awe inspiring. I love the world it's set in. There is so much to discover and look forward to. I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface. It inspired a childlike wonder in me and I'm very grateful for that. I'll probably just move on and forget all about it but, for now at least, I'm happy to have experienced this. 8/10
