Let This Grieving Soul Retire Part 2
嘆きの亡霊は引退したい 第2クール
Despite being one of Zebrudia's few level 8 treasure hunters and the leader of the capital's top party, Grieving Souls, Krai Andrey does not deserve his prominent reputation. Everything he says somehow turns prophetic, which convinces everyone around him that he possesses unfathomable wisdom regardless of his utter incompetence. Krai knows his success is only a series of coincidences, but the weight of those expectations grows heavier as time goes by. Unfortunately, as the other members of the Grieving Souls continue to shock the world with their achievements, Krai's wish for a peaceful retirement drifts ever further out of reach. This show keeps getting better by the season ! Very entertaining and amazing to watch ; always leaves you laughing and shocking as to what happens ; not knowing where the plot will go. Its a comedy and a Isekai , at same time ; with a unique PLOT that will keep you watching for the entertainment of the show. One of a kind Isekai ! 10/10 in my books ! Recommend ! Story is Unique / Art style is Great / Characters have unique personality and all-rounded the interactions between them goes very smooth. As a MC that is also the strongest and the weakest at the sametime the interactions it provokes its very fun to watch

Nageki no Bourei wa Intai Shitai – Season 1 Part 2 Review 1) Story Continuation Part 2 adapts content primarily from Light Novel Volumes 4 to 6, continuing directly from where Part 1 ended. The anime stays largely faithful to the main plot trajectory, preserving the core appeal of Krai’s absurd luck, constant misunderstandings, and the world’s persistent misinterpretation of him as an unparalleled genius and powerhouse. The narrative remains coherent, though noticeably denser and more compressed than in Part 1. 2) Adaptation Choices Studio Zero-G maintains consistency in overall production quality and direction. However, in covering Volumes 4–6, the adaptation becomes more selective, cutting a significant amount ofbackground lore and contextual story elements tied to the main narrative. These omissions are not merely optional details; they form the foundation for later developments. If the anime continues, these gaps may become more apparent unless addressed in future seasons or supplemental content. 3) Character Design Part 2 shows visible inconsistency in visual design, especially in the first half of the cour. Several side characters—particularly knights, monsters, and phantoms—are depicted with overly colorful and gaudy designs. This stylistic choice clashes with the established tone of the world and occasionally breaks immersion, making it one of the weaker technical aspects of this part. 4) Character Relationships and Party Dynamics A major weakness of this part is the reduced focus on party bonding and interpersonal development within Krai’s group, especially concerning the three members who rejoined during this part. These characters re-enter the story with minimal exploration of their growth, motivations, or evolving relationships with Krai and the rest of the party, making their presence feel more functional than emotional. These relationships are essential to the emotional weight of later arcs, yet much of this development is either rushed or omitted. An OVA or a small set of additional episodes would be an effective way to restore this missing material. While it is understood that not everything from the light novel can be adapted, this content feels necessary rather than optional. 5) Voice Acting and Execution The voice acting remains consistently strong throughout Part 2. Performances continue to enhance both comedic misunderstandings and serious moments, often compensating for pacing issues or skipped content. The cast maintains a high level of consistency and credibility. 6) Overall Impression Part 2 works well as a continuation and successfully adapts Volumes 4–6 without disrupting the story’s core appeal. However, it feels more like a transitional segment than a fully realized arc. The humor and premise remain effective, but the lack of background detail and character bonding limits its overall impact. Rating Breakdown Story Continuation (Vol. 4–6): 8/10 Adaptation Quality: 6.5/10 Character Design: 6/10 Voice Acting: 8/10 Overall Impression: 7/10 Final Rating: 7/10 Part 2 is solid and enjoyable, but clearly more constrained and selective than Part 1. It maintains momentum while sacrificing depth—an approach that only works if the anime is allowed to continue. I would still recommend this to viewers looking for an adventure anime that avoids the usual genre tropes, offering a refreshing alternative to the standard overpowered protagonist. If you want to read my review for Part 1, you can find it on my profile under the reviews section, or by visiting the Part 1 page for “Nageki no Bourei wa Intai Shitai” directly.

Season 2 stands on firmer grounds. The characters all established and the show shifts to be more episodic in nature with a few running gags. The storylines are a bit... chaotic? Like the only reason any of it is happening is to set up a joke. Logic, basic survival instinct, a normal human reaction? What's that?! The show is REALLY dumbed down this season and our MC no longer has the survival instinct of a doodoo bird. Maybe the brain of one though lol. The stupid is questionable. Like, if you see a dragon in the pool why would you get in?! Don't get me startedon the princess that dresses up as a maid for literally one scene just so the joke can happen. Never explained! However, I will admit, the stupid fun and episodic nature made for and a good watch. I recommend it for some silliness so long as you don't look at the story too closely.

Let This Grieving Soul Retire, the 2nd Misunderstanding — Oh my lord, good gracious! The game of misunderstandings becomes a class act for everyone involved, much ado to the person who first gave that "flaw" to become the signature of its premise. Ever since novelist Tsukikage's Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai a.k.a Let This Grieving Soul Retire came bursting into the anime scene last Fall, it's apparent that the coined-term of "comedy is subjective" immediately becomes the priority to separate both fans and haters of the show, and while it obviously creates the obvious two camps, I truly miss when shows can just go hamand ridonculous for all the right and wrong reasons, and this series truly gives an edge when it comes to "taking things both seriously and not" so much that you either cringe at its unfunny comedy, or like me, just enjoy the truly "Series of (Un)foruntate Events" that the famous party Grieving Souls and its eccentric leader Krai Andrey, had to contend with the simple plot of "All according to Keikaku". Part 2 here is no different, continuing the adaptation of the series where Part 1 left off, pacing the first 3 volumes of the LN...and trust me, the antics of Krai Andrey leading not only his own party but also the frenemies around him that suffer due to his nonchalance of just "wanting to have fun" without the expense of doing a whole lot of work and the numerous new fests of feuds, arguments, and characters that would come his way to navigate through were quite the bummer for their hands. Krai isn't just a level of crazy and lazy at the same time; he still wants things to work for him by hook or by crook with the bare minimum of seeking his early retirement that, mysteriously and somehow, ropes in everyone, whether they like it or not. Obviously, the newest member of Grieving Souls, Tino Shade, still has aways to go improving herself in the eyes of not Krai, but the other members, whose tutelage of her has been both tough and harsh from the get-go. The closest members sticking by her are the Smart sisters, Liz and Sitri; these 3 girls are stuck together like fine "blood-related siblings" when it comes to both their trainings and affections for the lazy leader. They try to get his attention, only to be ignored on the wayside, with the apparent consistency being their fine ass-shots. Still, you can't consider Grieving Souls as a whole without each and every single member contributing to Krai's "cause," even if that meant tolerating his "prophetic, unfathomable wisdom" that gave rise to all of the coincidences that just fit together in scenarios of which they would be next to impossible to fabricate. But only Krai can, because he's a "genius" of misunderstandings. Otherwise, everything stays pretty much the same with Studio Zero-G's competent production values, alongside music composer Ryouhei Sataka's rather nice OST for the series. The OP/ED theme song set for Part 2 here, however, is less memorable with Kiyono Yasuno's OP and i☆Ris's ED, even if either song or visual quality punched above the weight of what Part 1 did better as (IMO) the best between the split-cour treatment. It doesn't pay to believe that if you've either hated or enjoyed Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai, a.k.a. Let This Grieving Soul Retire, which came out last fall, it's pretty much the same notion for Part 2, just better or worse. The omniscience of Krai Andrey knows no bounds and delivers upon a solid foundation for what Part 1 was, and both maintains and delivers Part 2 to be quite the insanity that freaks people out in an even crazier fashion. So much for wanting to retire, Krai; your denseness is both your downfall and saving grace.

"Prophetic Hunter" Usually this kind of tropes turns out to be mid but grieving souls is a exception. The way in which plot executed is perfect and enjoyable , masterclass self aware story telling is always great because there is always a balance between main genres. The humour which got developed throughout the series is hilarious , perfectly blended in theme of anime no forced dialogue and comedy moments. This gigachad mc is prime ambassador of 5 star choclate, eat choclate do nothing. Whatever mc says turns out to be a prophecy for others which made mc reputation and respect. The main point which I liked is thatmc is aware about his abilities, he isn't behaving weirdly and cringe like I don't deserve this , why I am here etc . No overthinking just chilling his life .You getting some great waifus too with some erotic shots . Liz is my fav along with tino . Overall it's a fun anime , you can bing in 1 sitting. I think we getting a another season , they already laid the foundation by introducing a new character at ending.
