Overpowered main character + busty anime girls (and a loli) + a fun and simple premise + great animation. What does that equal? A low score. What a shocker... Get a grip people, this show is great. The main character isn't perfect, regardless of stereotypes. Physically, he is definitely overpowered; but it's heartwarming to see his innocence and strive for growth on the mental side. The same goes for all three of the girls, as they all have their own reasons for being who they are. For such an underrated anime, the animation is incredibly well done. No CGI, not much stiff frames, just a purework of art that you can tell the studio put a lot of effort into. The comedy is well-timed (bonus for me, I love anything can makes me laugh), and the fan service is, um...very entertaining. (yeah, I liked it. Sue me). A great anime for fantasy lovers, so give it a watch.

Kizetsu Yuusha to Ansatsu Hime: This is supposed to be trash, right? (Part 1, Summer 2025 Edition) Kizetsu Yuusha to Ansatsu Hime (The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses) is an anime with a silly premise that was no different from the other pathetic male leads but somehow intriguing to me. The story follows an overpowered, Bocchi-coded introverted hero named Toto, who struggles to find a party group due to his extreme shyness and only acts cool in his imagination. Fortunately, it did not last long because three princesses requested Toto to join their hero party: a daughter of the demon king, a professional assassin, anda dominatrix, all aiming for The Shy Hero's head. The poster’s character designs looked appealing, and the in-anime versions thankfully lived up to them. The animations were not in those S-tier action shounen blockbusters, but they were still in the decent category. In fact, there were some sakuga cuts that exceeded my expectations. The story was simple and predictable just by looking at the title; however, it was enjoyable at the same time. The fainting jokes and the princesses arguing with each other were never not funny at all. The anime surprisingly had some wholesome moments that I genuinely love. Minor spoiler alert: Unpopular opinion, but Toto's introduction as an introverted, anti-social boy was totally brilliant. He literally asked the most generic question THREE TIMES to all girls when being alone together with zero topics: "Where are the other girls?" That's THE introverted MC. Props to the author Yukiji Setsuda for actually writing that. In conclusion, this anime is dumb, and I loved it. It's either extremely funny that you could lose your laugh box or stupidly unfunny that you will get a migraine (+ Mood: Awful). Watch it.

"Literally one of the best summer show in terms of senseless humor and comedy " Usually people ignore these kind of tropes or they don't even start it , straight up judging from poster or asking for reviews from others . Glad i found this amazing sh!t , enjoyed to the fullest just like watching grand blue fanatsy version . The most amazing thing i liked are visuals and eye catching art style , no cgi monsters , no weird background just pure 2d work . The op is a banger too literally too much underrated , people need to listen it (https://youtu.be/KwokenvxcbM?si=HwrZMBpJ0Aen8Gn0). The other thing i likedcharacter development , every character tried to evolve in a better self . Looking forward for a promising 2nd season .

This anime works well. Somewhat. The plot hook of the "all the female characters are actually assassins trying to kill the MC", offering a slightly new twist to the usual fantasy plus OP hero plus harem formula, could've quickly become stale and boring or degenerate into the girls forgetting their motivations and engage in the usual fawning competition for the MC, which is what I had expected, but is actually well-executed. More importantly, the show allows for a few moments of heartfelt character development, demonstrating that the authors cared at least enough to produce a somewhat entertaining anime. Now, as for the MC, at first I thoughtthe continuous fainting every time the girls did something "ecchi" would've become boring before long, but it has its value, and the show uses it smartly and with purpose. It's actually what makes it possible for the other characters to do their thing. Also, our hero does find ways to avoid fainting, so you don't get irritating scenes with the MC being useless when needed the most. The girls are nice, and they have somewhat interesting backstories and motivations that make them more than walking tropes, but their designs are nothing impressive. Anemone is a rip-off from Black Lagoon, and Ciel, the white-haired loli demon, is just a generic white-haired loli demon. Goa, on the other hand, truly stands out, both in her design, motivations, and character depth and development, although Ciel also has a couple of moments. As for the rest of the cast, well, there are no other relevant characters, besides maybe one villain who manages to last a little longer. Consequently, the world of the show feels inevitably empty and flat. Indeed, the worldbuilding itself is just the Nth RPG-fantasy knockoff, with dungeons, monsters, adventurers, a Demon Lord, etc., and the MC one-punches through most obstacles with little to no effort, his own party members being the biggest threat. Overall, unfortunately, the show still doesn't manage to scrape past the 6.5/7. The thing is, it does the bare minimum to raise a little bit above the usual fantasy slop, but not enough to find its place next to genuinely compelling anime from the past season like Silent Witch or Water Magician. The production value is mid, the art is okay, the idea is decent, but on top of the issues I already pointed out, such a gimmick can only be milked so much, and if we ever see a second season, which I highly doubt, there's a good chance the show will implode on its own premises.

I must say this was an EXTREMELY fun series from start to finish with some AMAZING character development. Most comedy anime are pretty similar and that's not a bad thing because it works in the element of the story 9 times out of 10. This particular anime does really well at being comedic with the OP MC who Faints around women, and the seriousness of each characters struggle with their own problems in life. I am a sucker for some good character development at the end of the day and not only did I get that BUT I also got a hilarious comedy plot withit as well! If you are looking for a fun anime with some surprising character development thrown into the mix then I DEF recommend The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses. I SOO hope we get a S2!
