Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota
顔に出ない柏田さんと顔に出る太田君
With a smirk, Oota disregards his single-digit test scores and searches for a new source of amusement. He is soon captivated by his classmate Kashiwada, a mysterious student who consistently wears a blank face. Oota conspires to break her placid demeanor through scares and mischievous schemes, though his tactics always seem to backfire. Oota is known as the class clown and is constantly disciplined by his teacher, who claims "his face gives it away." To no fault of his own, he lacks control of his emotions and facial expressions. Kashiwada, on the other hand, seems perpetually emotionless and unreadable—no one knows what she is thinking! Oota and Kashiwada are complete opposites, but that does not stop a unique relationship from developing between them. As they realize their feelings for each other, it raises an important question: do opposites really attract? [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This was one nice and cute romance anime about expressive boy and inexpressive girl, and it was fun ride from 1st to last episode. People say that this is similar to Aharen anime and I must agree on certain points, although boy character is much different than one from Aharen and becasue of that the dynamic is better at least imho. Animation and sound: pretty good. Animation is fluent with no quality drop and music is fine with no noticeable soundtracks. Overall: animation and music are industry standard, not bad and not good. Characters: Main duo are Oota and Kashiwada, their entire dynamic is what makes thisshow good. Oota is a middle school boy who is energetic, prideful and loves challenges. Kashiwada is shy, nice and goodhearted girl. Because of her unique skill to not show any emotion on her face regardless of the situation, Oota made it his life goal to put a reaction on it no matter what it takes. Joining them are Sata and Takodoro, who are Oota's male friends. These two are always by Oota's side, occasionally helping him in some regard but most of the time they exist to comment on his actions. Later we are introduced to Tabuchi-san who is class representative and a gigantic fan of Koshiwada, tryign to "protect" her from Oota. And last, but not least, Odajima-san who joins to crew a little late but is only one that can read Kashiwada's expressions. When you mix all of them together you get expected amount of slice of life enjoyment. Overall: Main duo is entertaining and supporting cast is good addition to spice things up a bit. Story: it's rather simple - a boy is teasing a girl in order to get emotion from her. That's it. Rather than being long arc storyline the episodes cover one chapter short stories from manga. There is no real sense of progress, only different scenes which include all the cliché situations that we have all come to love or hate depending on your taste. I came into this anime expecting nothing more than cute and wholesome moments and I was not disappointed. Overall: story is very simple and it revolves around the main theme of the show, nothing more and nothing less. Overall grade: 8, I gave it a 10 as that how much personally I enjoyed it. But realistic grade is around 7.5 to 8. It is a decent wholesome slice of life show and it plays that card very safely. If you come into that expecting only this then you will have very enjoyable time. In the end I am recommending it, it's one of those shows you watch at once for weekend in order to heal your exhausted soul with much needed positive energy.

A simple romantic comedy about a girl who never shows emotions and a boy who shows too much. The idea of opposite personalities is cute but the story feels slow and repetitive. It is full of romance anime tropes like beach episodes Christmas episode summer festival and fireworks scenes. Some moments can make you chuckle but the humor is not very strong. The characters are fine but do not develop much. The animation is average and the opening and ending songs are good. If you want to enjoy this show don’t binge it. Watch one episode at a time to relax after a long day.

This show feels like a mix of teasing takagi san and nagatoro without the bullying if you enjoyed those, you’re probably enjoy this even though it’s more directed as the first show I listed that being said you get about three mini story bits per episodes each about eight minutes It has everything you’d like to see in a show like this and most importantly, it is quite funny which is really good. The show is listed as a romance but it’s like nothing builds gets built with this show it’s expected but it was enjoyable Not much to say about it if you liked theshows that I mentioned or casual shows, I’m sure you’re like this 6/10 nothing special but it was fun

" A bunch of stories " This is adapted from a web manga so, eps consist of bunch of short stories full of different emotions . The plot is inspired from same kind of trope anime like komi can't communicate , arhan-san etc . The theme which author tried to potray is well done , no cringe comedy , forced dialouges just to increase lengeth of eps , no love ploygon to waste time . From the start we knows about our pair personalities . Likable side characters which support the story progression in their own way , decent ost , good animation , decentop and ed , middle school rom com drama etc . We almost witnessed every single love scenario that we mostly see in school rom coms , no complains . At the end studio pointed out that no more sequels but i won't mind seeing a another . A solid 7/10 , just don't try to bing in 1 sitting otherwise you might bore yourself .

Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota The seasonal shoujo middle/high school slowburn romance anime, the anime straight away gave me " Komi can't communicate " vibes but with half the ffort and alot of side character screen time, we have a inexpresive Kashiwada san, a Tsundere Oota kun and a bunch of side characters of various personalities making the story a little cluttered and as the manga had short stories the anime has almost 2-3 short stories each episode so so many different personality characters packed in 24 mins showing 2-3 episodes gives less screentime to the MCs well except that the anime is quiet and funnyno flashy animations and dialouges. The manga ended 2.5 years ago so the conclusion must have been that Kashiwada and Oota got together reaching the end of the story ( I haven' read the manga ) but for the anime the last episode somehow gave the vibes of " NO MORE SEQUEL " feels like the studio indicated that the anime won't be getting a sequel as the last scene was kinda " proper end to anime " But if the anime gets a sequel announced it will be fun to watch it for sure as the anime is kinda relaxing and fun to watch with the slowburn romance .
