Actually Yori is in love with Iku and that forbidden love is causing Yori sleepless nights since Yori and Iku are sharing the same room with bunk beds. Yori tried to ease his intense desire for Iku by bedding Iku's best friend. He had even applied to attend a boarding school in another city to take him far away from Iku. Iku loves her big brother and wanted them to stay together, so Iku is willing to anything to keep them together. But Yori wanted to have Iku as a lover, not as a sister loyal to her twin.

Ok I've watched close to 80 different anime, all types, and one thing I've learned is that you cant judge until you watched the whole thing. However, when I heard of "I Love My Younger Sister", I was skeptical. I mean, there are some messed up anime out there, but a story about twins not wanting to love each other as siblings but as lovers? Now thats messed up, but when I saw reviews and thought about it I decided, "What's the harm?". And when I finally watched it, Wow! What a amazing story! Ok, it was beyond depressing, but it was still really good.Weather you support their love or not, you cant deny how great this is. Two thumbs way up!

Okay this is my first ever review written so please bear with me if my review writing skills aren't top notch. I was compelled to write a review for this OVA as the ratings of other reviews confused me as whether this was a outstanding OVA or mediocre. So here it goes: Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru is I'm in Love with my Little Sister in english and from the title we can already see where this OVA is heading. The story doesn't incorporate many different elements to fully flesh out the story however considering the length of the OVA it is very muchunderstandable. Story: The story was not your most original however actually incorporating the genre of incestuous relationships is for me a first for anime. The story is basically as you know it, forbidden love that cannot flourish for obvious reasons and the emotional conflict that comes as a result. There isn't much story either rather it conveys the emotional struggle that the siblings experience during their daily lives. The story at first seems to drag along and then suddenly jump start into a really fast pace and then slow down to a slow jogging pace. Art: The first impression of the art reminds me of a typical shoujo manga as the character's hair seem silky and long, the art of the environment is what really caught my attention as everything seemed rather life like (except the school grounds) but the art was pretty good other than that there really isn't much that makes the art appealing. Sound: Well the sound wasn't very noticeable only does the OP and ED really stand out, the OP is just instrumentals that convey a relaxed, tranquil mood while the ED is some random rock group that personally I thought had very bad taste in making music. Character: The characters weren't out of the ordinary rather Iku is just a cheerful young girl while Yori is a frustrated teen that can't seem to calm his emotions. There wasn't really much space for character development as their love interests were already set from the beginning. Basically what character development consisted of was resolving inner conflict and realization of personal feelings. Enjoyment: I would say i really enjoyed this OVA as it conveys love in a different light however it doesn't throw it out of context rather it keeps a very realistic feel to it. The only objection I have to the whole thing was the portrayal of sexual acts between the characters because they weren't even in high school yet (personally I am a strong believer of sex after marriage so that's why I knocked down my ratings a little bit) but all in all I'd say it was quite good. Overall: Overall the OVA wasn't the best out there but it wasn't the worst, it really brings out the theme that romance isn't always perfect out there, love cannot overcome all obstacles but we can always try our best to maintain it.

Im not sure much is to be said about this story. To be honest it was a bit generic. "Sweet innocent lil sister or in this case twin sister, he loves her, he struggles with it, she comes to realize it. Oh but what about Kami-sama! They get over it..screw the gods, make out, the end." Not to say its not a cute story and the art was pleasent to the eye. The music was also cute ,but theres wasn't much to it. Its pretty short so i guess that shouldve been my first clue not expect too much. Check it out on youtube ifu like but, its not worth much more than that.

Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru This is a great film, although it plays only in 50 minutes, but the satisfaction is there, despite of the title " we all know i love my younger sister" is not acceptable but when u are there watching, there u can say on that spot i will give consideration for yori and iku..... this is not really a disgusting film that "twin brother and sister are havings ex with each other" but here u can feel what love is, and what love is all about i wish, they will release another episode of this film, iwant to know how they will react in the outside, how they will hold on.... will they find peace in teh storm, or they will cast away..... this is my REVIEW 10.... because they deserve it, this is my judgement and this will be my last... ^_^

There's a reason incestual relationships are rarely taken seriously in anime. It's a hard subject to portray with sincerity, and if not handled properly can be the source of contention among the viewership. Boku wa Imouto runs into that exact problem doing a poor job of selling it's authenticity and even worse of providing the viewer with any meaningful takeaway from the topic as a whole in society. The characters, to put it bluntly, are awful. Yori is a moody brat with rapist tendencies who repeatedly forces himself onto the person he claims to love most of all. Iku has no will of her own, given no personality type outside of jealousy and clinginess. We are never made to like the characters, and are merely swept along in their rapidly developing obsession. Boku wa Imouto also fails to provide the proper exposition for Yori's overwhelming desire for his sister. A childhood promise where he pinky swears to marry her isn't enough of a convincing argument. How he can go from vehemently rejecting her existence to suddenly forcing himself on her is unrealistic, even for anime. The climax in all stories of this nature is the moment they are found out - whether by society or a mutual friend who walks in on them. Boku wa Imouto's version of this are inanimate statues in a church who Iku assumes means God hates her. None of their friends raise enough suspicion to threaten the relationship. One classmate ogles Iku, makes a rude joke about her, gets beat down by Yori, and then questions how close they are as if a brother doesn't naturally respond to his sister being made fun of. This isn't how you create tension. Koi Kaze is a top comparison for this anime on MAL, which is akin to comparing Mars of Destruction to Neon Genesis Evangelion. Koi Kaze goes into so much greater depth, with much better sincerity shown from its characters and a far better resolution that you can never forget. Its disrespectful to even compare the two - THAT is how this type of subject matter should be handled. It feels as though this was made only to show the result of incestual relationships, rather than the actual process, which is the most important aspect in making a good story of this nature.
