Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn
After a janitorial mishap, an unsuspecting custodian transforms into Janemba, a fat, yellow demon who wreaks havoc throughout the afterlife. Gokuu Son has been competing in martial arts tournaments for the undead since his heroic death in the battle against Cell. Soon, Janemba's chaos draws Gokuu and fellow combatant Pikkon toward him, forcing the pair to figure out a way to defeat the giant monster. After a bout with him, Gokuu witnesses Janemba undergo another transformation: the demon sheds his fat and changes color, turning into a sword-wielding enemy more powerful than anyone Gokuu has faced thus far. This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I wanted to watch this after seeing the goku vs janemba clip on YouTube. I thought the whole movie would be like that but no, this movie is unfunny, stupid and childish. I love dbz, I love some of the movies. But this was terrible. It feels like the target audience is 3 year old. I'm genuinely surprised most dbz fans love this movie because to me it was insultingly stupid. But then again anime fans aren't exactly known for liking high quality. This and bio broly are offensively bad and if you careabout your time I would suggest you don't watch this

The opening is brief and enjoyable enough. The concept of how the villain comes about is interesting, but ultimately it's not a very interesting character outside of the design. The best part of the movie is the environment the character creates, and the weird otherworldly powers. The fighting is okay, and it's good to see SS3 actually be used for a while. There's not much to the villain as a character, and at some point toward the end some of the comedy felt forced and went on too long, it would've been better without it. I also think the bit with hitler went on too longand wasn't very interesting to begin with. If they needed filler fights on the side, there were much more interesting things they could've done that would've made more sense than infinite tanks. The end of the fight is anticlimactic, but the end of the movie is good. Overall I'd say it's okay, with some high points. It's worth giving a try.

Fusion Reborn is EASILY the best Dragon Ball movie so far. It has pretty much everything you could want from one of these. Taking place somewhere within the Majiin Buu Arc, this movie centers around a disaster in the afterlife. Havoc breaks loose when the culmination of evil thoughts of all humans is concentrated into one being: Janemba. Transforming the arena into a colorful array of jelly beans, this creature at first seems quite harmless- but back on Earth, the imbalance causes the dead to rise. Old villains return for more, like Frieza (and HITLER???) while Goku fights the reality bending blob. The fight sequences themselves in thesemovies are really nicely done, and flow well. Janemba can create portals and basically camps Goku. It really kicks up when Goku transforms into SSJ3- and Janemba gets a transformation of his own. Phasing in and out of reality, he wields a blood sword and pushes Goku to the brink. The last section of this movie involves biding time as Goku and Vegeta attempt to get their fusion down right. When they finally do, an epic conclusion sends everything back into place. This is also the best looking movie since Dead Zone and The Worlds Strongest (some really nice thick line-art). I personally loved this movie, and trudging through some of the more tedious films in this franchise was well worth it. It's comedy is pretty on point with Goten and Trunks, and there's some pretty cute moments with Videl and Gohan. Overall I highly reccomend!

Janemba, Janemba, Janemba 👏 👏 👏 This movie takes place sometime during the Buu saga and would fit perfectly into the story if it were canon. The plot has a very interesting feel, bringing elements that complement the Dragon Ball Z universe in a way not explored in the main series. The feeling that it could have been a legitimate part of the narrative is strong, since the tone and quality of the animation, as well as the fights, are very much in line with what we've already seen in previous sagas. The animation here is commendable. Not only for its fluidity and technical quality, but alsofor its unique visual style that brings a freshness to the film. The scenarios are rich and detailed, with that visual style that strongly resembles the best moments of Dragon Ball Z, but without failing to explore something new. This is also reflected in Janemba's "dodging" abilities, which are fantastic, bringing a very different dynamic to the fights. The transitions between moments of tension and humor happen very fluidly, which helps maintain the film's pace. Speaking of the fights, there's no denying they are one of the film's biggest attractions. They are intense, well-choreographed, and full of cutting-edge action. Each movement, each attack has a precision that adds extra charm to the film, and the way the characters use their abilities is always a spectacle in itself. The interaction between the abilities of Goku, Vegeta, and even Pikkon, makes the combat more dynamic and exciting, with strategies and movements that are out of the ordinary. The comedic aspect also stands out positively. The film has a light touch that relieves tension at the right times. Janemba, especially in his more comedic form, plays the role of a villain who, while terrifying, is hilarious in his interactions with the protagonists. The moment he chases after the heroes is epic, eliciting laughter but also conveying a sense of urgency and danger. It's this balance between seriousness and lightness that gives the film its perfect tone. The presentation of Janemba, in his two forms, is one of the most interesting things about Fusion Reborn. The first, with its more childlike and funny appearance, could be underestimated, but it proves to be a force of nature, surprising the heroes and the audience. The second form, which is more monstrous and imposing, maintains the horror factor, but without losing the touch of humor in some situations. This duality works very well to keep the villain interesting and unpredictable. Another highlight that deserves to be mentioned is Paikuhan. It's always good to see secondary characters getting more attention and being treated with the respect they deserve. He has an important role in the film, and his fight against Janemba shows how he could have been explored more in the main sagas. I'm glad that Paikuhan finally had a moment to shine, showing his abilities and reinforcing the idea that the Dragon Ball universe is richer and full of possibilities than just the main characters. And of course, we can't forget the final fight. It was undoubtedly one of the film's greatest highlights. The way it was constructed, with a mix of tension, new attacks, and the incorporation of elements that were unprecedented at the time, made it truly remarkable. For many, I believe this fight is etched in memory as one of the most emblematic moments of the expanded Dragon Ball universe, as it brought a sense of something new without losing the essence of the series. It was an excellent way to close the film, leaving a feeling of wanting more. My final score for the film is a 7, and although I found it an excellent piece of work, the fact that the film is relatively short at only 50 minutes somewhat limits the potential of some scenes and characters. I think that with more screen time, we could have explored the action moments, the interactions between the characters, and perhaps even Janemba's backstory, which isn't as developed as it could be. However, even with this shorter runtime, the film delivers plenty of fun and entertainment, especially for longtime fans of the series.

When it comes to the Dragonball films in general they usually follow something different. instead of the canon material that the series contains It instead mixes certain content from the series themselves but only to present a different setting that usually is not always direct from the series. So therefore, Do not go into watching them expecting anything that great of a premise in the first place since its not meant to do so, except just take them as special added content for its standard viewing alone. So on to the 12th Dragon Ball Z Movie and I totally loved it!! This surprised me because I didn't have thatmuch expectations of it and yet as soon as I started watching it, It starts to go with the action and comedy formula right of the bat and it works so well for this film. The action is fun, You get your silly slapstick moments of the characters, some bizarre real life character references like hitler in this like wtf xD, as well as fusion from the series. The animation looks brilliant for a mid 90s movie along with its fights as well which was pretty memorable in terms of how epic it looks. The voice acting was fine on both in English and Japanese, Though I like more of the soundtracks from the english version since Gogeta and Janemba's theme sounds really cool. The villain here Janemba who doesn't have any personality what so ever is this manifestation of evil negative energy similar to majin buu in terms of having a primal like personality starting his form as this giant oversized child like thingy than shortly enough into this sinister looking demon which I have to admit the design of it looks brilliant. Janemba also possesses a pretty incredible ability of materialising and manipulating space and anything over the dimensions of space itself making him capable of transforming the universe in its entirety into his image which includes the Other World where goku is fighting pikkon. These effects causes the other world and their overseers including the checking station to falter in this dimension making the villains escape from their confinement. Not only that but the magic of the dragonballs are also effected by this as well. The movie's main plot is mainly about goku, vegeta and the others trying to stop the powerful janemba and his powers over the dimensions that pulls in some of these entertaining moments out really well. The only thing I wished to have seen more of was janemba effecting other parts of the universe and for the other villains though only minor, to be a little more involved in the movie to at least make the film a little more longer but other than that, this movie was fun and enjoyable and Gogeta totally rocks!! Its probably my favourite dragonball film so far ;)
