He is a strong Servamp who often quotes Shakespeare and has a habit of killing his Eves once he grows bored of them. Lawless is self-centred and particularly emotional. He is shown to long for someone to love him, and his extravagant methods of switching Eves was only a means of refusing to face this fact. Overall, however, Lawless is extremely energetic and obnoxious with penchant to poking fun at others and tends to introduce himself and others through extravagant means. He tends to be self-serving but an otherwise positive presence. Like the other Servamps, Lawless is capable of swapping between an animal form and a human form, and will revert to his animal form when in sunlight. His animal form is that of a small black-spiked hedgehog with three distinctive white spikes, he is capable of speech while in hedgehog form. In the past, he once served a noble princess named Ophelia. Ophelia was the only person who accepted Lawless' condition as a vampire, when the whole world saw him as a disgusting monster. This made Lawless develop feelings for her and vow to protect his Eve no matter what. However, a conflict broke out in the country that required Ophelia to marry a prince from another kingdom. Not only that, when the conflict was getting worse, Ophelia chose to surrender herself to be executed as payment for peace in the country. Lawless had actually tried to prevent Ophelia's death, but Ophelia's words made Lawless unable to defy her orders, until finally he could not prevent the death of his loved one. Lawless also saw the end of Ophelia's life with his own eyes, and this made Lawless's mental and common sense even more damaged which gave rise to an aggressive and sadistic nature in him.
