She initially used Manaka as an excuse for dumping one of her previous "boyfriends" and eventually ended up joining the Film Studies Club. In a surprising twist, she ends up with Komiyama, the least likely person imaginable, for a short while (she later dumps him, as expected). After graduation, Hashimoto joins Sotomura Productions as a model, with Komiyama as her manager.
