It is revealed that she was born in the Ship Country and abandoned by her birth parents without having been given a name. She was named Tifana, after the name of the ship that carried the country's founders, whom all its residents (except for Tii) were descended from. As a result of her not being related to anyone else in the country, she was essentially disowned and generally hated by everyone in it. Following her meeting Shizu and Riku, Tii is adopted by Shizu and is brought along on his journeys.
