Harlock visits her seeking help when an act of sabotage by a cyborg infiltrator causes the Arcadia to lose its supply of water. Despite its having been transformed into an Illumidas-occupied fort, Anita refuses to leave her home, wishing that someday it could be made green again after the Illumidas defeat. Her son Zack, on the other hand, can't wait to leave, and insists that he be taken aboard the Arcadia, to which Anita sadly consents. However, her attempts at procuring a supply of water for Harlock are discovered by the Illumidas garrison.
