Zan "Slash"

Details Clubs Pictures Top > Characters > Zan Zan (斬)Zan, known as Slash in some dubs, is an evil entity that arose due to the desperation of the En's sister, while she remained paralyzed for several decades in the Needle Tower. In the anime, Zan is responsible for destroying En and his sister's home planet. He is also the one who spreads the Awakening Poison and creates the Troublemaking Monsters throughout the the Twelve Worlds. Zan is an anime-exclusive character, but makes a brief appearance in the manga during a flashback about the En and his sister's backstory in chapter 27. There is also a special illustration of him in the 5th volume of the series. Apparently, there were plans for him to be used in the manga, but due to the cancellation of the magazine where the series was published, things had to take a different turn. An interesting detail is that along with Zan and the other refugees from the planet during the war, there is another character named Zero who also does not reappear in the manga, but who would later become the final boss of the Game Boy Color game.
