Though he can't fight, he's proven to be useful in battle by analyzing and finding a weakness in enemy techniques. He is often referred to as "Yamada" since Eve couldn't remember his name. Later, he is recognized as a Needless in chapter 100 and turned into a girl in chapter 113.
