The Old Angostura constantly warns the Mascorrida participants about avoiding fights outside the tournament with the warning: “I will confiscate your masks, including your heads”. He is a martial artist and also trains some fighters before the tournament. Angostura wears an oni mask with a stern expression that makes him looks angry, but he is actually a good person, and told Jing and Kir about the Dubonnet family tragedy. He says that Jing is a strong candidate to win the Mascorrida tournament and take the place of the Countess's son. Angostura also says that if Stir's brother Lemon were alive, he would be Jing's age. In the anime, Angostura also compares Jing to the late Count of Dubonnet when he was still young.
