First seen by Spyke, he is mistakenly believed to have struck him with lightning—though it is later clarified that Spyke was hit by natural lightning, not Arcbeetle. He soon reappears alongside Space Medafighter X, effortlessly defeating a group of Medarots that had previously overwhelmed Metabee, Sumilidon, and Kantaroth combined. After the battle, Arcbeetle vanishes with X, reinforcing his elusive nature. Arcbeetle is exceptionally powerful and remarkably fast, even surpassing Sumilidon in speed. Despite his strength, he is a silent presence, speaking only a handful of words throughout the series. He repeatedly aids Ikki in critical moments and stands as a loyal partner to X. During the battle against Mega-Emperor, he disappears alongside X after going over a cliff, only to later return—revealed to possess a rare medal. During the World Finals, Arcbeetle appears once again with X, intervening to protect Karin by effortlessly blocking an attack from Wigwamo. He later participates in the battle against Team U.S.A., contributing to Japan's victory. It is eventually revealed that Arcbeetle is, in fact, the original Metabee. After Hikaru broke his medal, Arcbeetle lost his memories, becoming the being seen in the present. This revelation also ties into the events of the Ten Days of Darkness, which lasted as long as they did because Hikaru searched desperately for another way to stop the chaos—something he deeply regrets.
