She escapes and is saved by Taki, who initially calls her Chihaya, as she doesn't know her name and Taki's meeting with the original Chihaya had a great impact on him. She later learns that her birth name was Miyuki and thus starts calling herself that. She has a blossoming romance with Taki. She makes a brief appearance in the anime.
