He left his Lickitung at the Day Care Center some time after the Pokémon Summer Academy. Angie was asked by her parents, who run the Day Care Center, to look after Lickitung while they were out on business. However, while doing so, she accidentally triggered its evolution into Lickilicky, a scenario frowned upon by Day Care businesses. Though Angie's parents were angry at her for doing this, this Trainer was ecstatic because he didn't have the time to evolve Lickitung himself, thus allowing Angie to avoid any punishment.
