When opportunity presents, she works to develop a relationship between Carl and Naomi. She is outgoing and friendly, and apparently competent at glassblowing. It is later revealed that she is the daughter of Carl and Naomi. The two were married many years but separated with only their child to show as the "product of their love" as Maria likes to put it.
