She is the first Sidionian who Tanikaze became friends with. She is also his classmate and fellow squadron team mate. She and Tanikaze develop a relationship after being adrift in space for 10 days after they were sent out on a mission to stop a Gauna from chasing their mothership. In episode 7, she is killed by a Gauna in an attempt to save Tanikaze after their mission to destroy it ended in failure; however, she is absorbed by the Gauna where her DNA and memories are used in order to develop a powerful guardian-like Gauna known as "Benisuzume."
