He was once a high priest in the Inca village of Puna. When Zia was abducted, Papacamayo followed Pizarro to try to get his daughter back, but Pizarro's ships had sailed shortly before he arrived. Papacamayo felt the only way to not lose Zia completely was to find the Cities of Gold before Pizarro.
